So Bean surprised the heck out of the hubby and I the other night by suddenly launching herself from the floor straight up onto the TV stand. This was the highest she's jumped since we brought her home and is proof that she's growing by leaps and bounds. But is it wrong of me to want her to stay the adorable little size she is now? :-)
Of course this is now her favorite spot in the house because she's so proud of herself. "Look Mom! Look Dad! Look where I am!" The little stinker.
The hubby is being entirely unhelpful by encouraging the action, as I came home from work the other day and found Bean watching "Fish TV". Yes, you heard me right. Don't ask me how John found a cable channel that shows nothing but fish, but he did. [shakes head]
Needless to say, Bean is now plastered to the TV screen, completely enamored of the fish and turtles swimming by and yes, she tries to catch them. :-) I let her have some fun last night and put on Fish TV for half an hour. Here's the photographic evidence:
I love the way she's silhouetted in the last one, her little head cocked to the side. :-)
Speaking of Bean - are any of you believers in karma, fate, reincarnation?
John and I were organizing Bean's vet paperwork and for some reason I just then realized that she was born in May. That's the same month that we lost Chloe.
Coincidence? I'm not so sure.
We had been to other adoption events and saw lots of kittens but none of them "spoke" to us until we saw Bean. Why was that?
Me, personally, I'm a believer in reincarnation. And it gives me great comfort to think that perhaps our Chloe has come back to us. Because there are things that Bean does that Chloe did, too, that has made me stop and do a double take. I've also more than once started to call her "puffin", which was Chloe's nickname. And even though we didn't adopt Chloe until she was about 4 years old, I can totally see her acting just like Bean as a kitten. :-)
So yeah, I think it was fate that Bean came into our lives. ♥ ♥
