agt_spookyOk, now that was NOT the way I wanted to wake up this morning! A magnitude 4.3 EARTHQUAKE hit Chicago at exactly 4 am this morning!
John and I were fast asleep and all of a sudden the whole house was shaking! And I mean REALLY shaking. It scared the crap out of both of us, that's for sure.
This is the second quake to hit Chicago in only a few years. Before that there hadn't been one since I was in high school.
So yeah, that was a very strange wake up call. :-)

I actually had no idea that the city was built over lake! You can keep your earthquakes - the ones we get every few years are enough! 4.3 isn't very big, but when it's in an area that isn't used to it, it feels huge!
