Shake, rattle and roll! Earthquake hits Illinois!

Ok, now that was NOT the way I wanted to wake up this morning! A magnitude 4.3 EARTHQUAKE hit Chicago at exactly 4 am this morning!

John and I were fast asleep and all of a sudden the whole house was shaking! And I mean REALLY shaking. It scared the crap out of both of us, that's for sure.

This is the second quake to hit Chicago in only a few years. Before that there hadn't been one since I was in high school.

So yeah, that was a very strange wake up call. :-)

Glad you're ok...I definitely know the feeling...the one earthquake in Belgium that I still remember was in 1995 when I also woke up from the quake. That was magnitude 4.8. Definitely weird and scary!

Yep, thankfully us and the house are fine, just a bit rattled! :-) See, isn't it the weirdest feeling?? So disorientating, especially when you're sound asleep!

Especially when you're not used to earthquakes...we hardly ever get any at all in Belgium.
