So is everyone back to work today now that the holidays are over? :-( I had to work on New Year's Eve and it SUCKED. I even had to put in freakin' overtime! I thought I'd never get out of the office.
The hubby and I stayed in that night and just watched some movies. I was wiped from working all day and ended up falling asleep at 11:20 pm. Darn! Almost made it to midnight! :-)
Let's see....I haven't been online since early New Year's Eve, so what have I been up to? Not much! LOL!
John and I went to see Sherlock Holmes again, and I swear it was better the second time around. Holmes and Watson's love for one another was even more epic!
Watched that new show on BBC America, Demons. It was...okay. I'm going to give it another shot. It didn't quite live up to the hype TV Guide was giving it. Definitely not on par with Being Human, whose second season gets started this month. Woot!

charityflint gave me the first season of Psych on DVD for my birthday, and I had a chance to watch three eps over the weekend. On the whole I like it. Shawn and Gus are quite funny. The only thing that annoys me is when Shawn is looking at something they have to zoom in and make the object glow. It's kinda like the show's creator thinks the audience is too dumb to realize what Shawn's looking at. But what's up with the pineapple stuff? I keep hearing about that, but I didn't see any in the first three episodes. Did that not start until a later season?
I also got to hang out with Charity and go to Dave and Buster's as a late birthday celebration for me. We had a great time having lunch, playing video games and table-top shuffleboard. Then we had dinner with John and relaxed in front of a fire in my family room.
I was supposed to have gotten together with several friends who I haven't seen in quite sometime, but some personal stuff popped up that I had to take care of instead. :-(
It was good to take a break from the computer for several days. I've been disillusioned with things going on in SPN fandom and can't muster up any enthusiasm for the show or the actors, so I've been staying away from LJ. It's good that the Jensen/Jared story I'm working on is an AU or I'd have chucked it.
So yeah...that's what I've been up to. And it's back to work today. Oh, yay. It's quite depressing to know that we don't have a day off until Memorial Day now. [sigh]

What's been up? Not too much, a little wank about some Jared holiday pics with his grandparents (which have incidentally passed away years ago, so the manip-quotient is HIGH and confidence is LOW, so don't even bother going there). Don't give up on the show though bb! I'm sure 2010 is gonna be an awesome year for the story arc! I was thinking lately that maybe Kripke REALLY believed he would never get a 5th season and now he has a lot of filler eps (which I love, but you might not, they DO divert from the story arc) to fill the season, but the final showdown is gonna be epic. I'm sure of it!
My new years eve ended at 6.30 AM on January 1st and I've only just recovered. I should have chosen your style of new years eve, I realise that now LOL
Weeeeeell ANYWAYS (LOL, rattling on here) I wish you a perfect, happy and healthy 2010 and ease back into LJ slowly, you'll find your mojo, I'm sure!!

I didn't really go for "Demons" much - rather disappointed in fact, considering the fabulous Philip Glennister was in it.
My problem with the pilot is that the kid, Luke, is just way too accepting of this supernatural stuff right off the bat, not even blinking an eye when that little creature was running through his house! It was kind of unbelievable. I'm hoping that his acting gets better. Is Phillip the godfather, Rupert?

Date: 2010-01-04 04:06 pm (UTC)Heeeeee Psych! Yeah the glowly thing happens forever and it's kinda annoying but after awhile you don't really notice it anymore y'know? And the pineapple happens in most episodes in the first season (I can't remember when it starts) but after that it's in nearly every episode. Sometimes it's easy to see, other times, not so much.
I don't think theres a real reason behind it other then it's just random pineapple time!

I finally had the chance to watch your 2007 Chicago Con vids and I was stunned,the guys were so funny and everything,I really had a blast. Thanks again so much for up-loading them for us.

Oh and our New Years Eve kinda sucked because the Greek food we had tasted awful (what never happened before) but the rest was fine and we spent more than 1 hour outside on the street with our neighbours and friends and a glass (or maybe some more) of sparkling wine and enjoyed the fireworks.

So far I'm pretty much ignoring everyone so I can try and get all this work done. I put my headphones on. I got two new CDs (Bon Jovi and Backstreet Boys) that I've been listening to to keep me mellow and not have a nervous breakdown again. :-) I hope that YOUR day goes good for you!

Count yourself lucky you don't know what's going on with Jensen and Jared's personal lives. And I won't ruin things for you by saying anything. I wish I was oblivious!
Things are still kinda crazy at work, but better than it was before Christmas. I'm hanging in there!

I don't want to get into specifics for fear of starting a war on my LJ, but there's a lot of things going on in Jensen and Jared's lives that have been upsetting me, but I guess that's my own fault for being so invested in the actors themselves instead of just concentrating on the characters they play.

That's actually at the heart of the issue right now, their friendship and how it seems to have been falling apart for quite some time. And that really depresses me. :-(

I was hoping for twin boys so I could name them sam and dean or jared and jensen, luckily for my husband it is a girl, she will be arriving sometime in march and her name will Isabella.
Its funny cause the trip to Vancouver was my husbands way of helping me focus on something other then not being able to get pregnant. LOL and like three weeks before the trip I found out I was pregnant. Jared and Jensne are so amazing that they get you pregnant by just thinking about getting a picture taken with them :P LOL but dont tell my husband he thinks it was all him LMAO.
Sorry for talking so much on your LJ. I swear I am not gonna be posting like paragraphs for you to read everyday.:P Have a nice rest of the week.

I hope the guys can resolve their issues cause it would really break my heart if their friendship fell apart. I think that is what has made this show as amazing as it is. Their friendship, chemistry, and sense of brotherhood.
I know. It's killing me to hear about all of this. I've never known two complete strangers to hit it off so well and so fast and become best friends. And that bled onto the screen, making Sam and Dean's relationship all the more powerful. If we lose that, we'll end up losing the show and not getting a sixth season for sure. :-(

I made the dinner, but there wasn´t something to cheer up, a little tries to sing, the people who was there can sing but they didn´t know any song, and just was singing short parts of them. I hate so much the new years eve because they are boring I want to see fireworks and there are not fireworks where I always stay. just I go to the beach then , yes, there are fireworks but not this time , I didn´went to the beach so it was terrible boring

Why they tell me" I am sorry" if They didn´t do me something bad to me.
In this case. you telling me that you are sorry about my boring new year´s eve. it is then, a way to express that you are ( or the people are) telling me that it is bad that that happened or let me see not bad, just that they express that that wasn´t good what happened to me, or that you are expressing that .. Jesus ¡ I can´t express in english what I want to say in spanish! mmmmm let see.
Here, when someone tell to someone that, something happened bad or something not of the like of the other person, we say " que pena" or "que mala pata" the last one is slang. the first one is that you are expressing that it is bad that that thing happened to the other person.
I found that it could be" what ashame or what a pity" so. it it the same say " I am sorry that what a pity?"
Oh, right, so, for that you don´t go out? I wish I could see something on the tv about celebrations, here, they don´t transmit something like that.
HEY, I remembered one thing, do you remember that in one comment you told me that there are more shows on cable or satelite, and I ask you to see where I can see those channels? so where?
