First post of 2010

Hey guys!

So is everyone back to work today now that the holidays are over? :-( I had to work on New Year's Eve and it SUCKED. I even had to put in freakin' overtime! I thought I'd never get out of the office.

The hubby and I stayed in that night and just watched some movies. I was wiped from working all day and ended up falling asleep at 11:20 pm. Darn! Almost made it to midnight! :-)

Let's see....I haven't been online since early New Year's Eve, so what have I been up to? Not much! LOL!

John and I went to see Sherlock Holmes again, and I swear it was better the second time around. Holmes and Watson's love for one another was even more epic!

Watched that new show on BBC America, Demons. It was...okay. I'm going to give it another shot. It didn't quite live up to the hype TV Guide was giving it. Definitely not on par with Being Human, whose second season gets started this month. Woot!

Speaking of TV shows, my buddy charityflint gave me the first season of Psych on DVD for my birthday, and I had a chance to watch three eps over the weekend. On the whole I like it. Shawn and Gus are quite funny. The only thing that annoys me is when Shawn is looking at something they have to zoom in and make the object glow. It's kinda like the show's creator thinks the audience is too dumb to realize what Shawn's looking at. But what's up with the pineapple stuff? I keep hearing about that, but I didn't see any in the first three episodes. Did that not start until a later season?

I also got to hang out with Charity and go to Dave and Buster's as a late birthday celebration for me. We had a great time having lunch, playing video games and table-top shuffleboard. Then we had dinner with John and relaxed in front of a fire in my family room.

I was supposed to have gotten together with several friends who I haven't seen in quite sometime, but some personal stuff popped up that I had to take care of instead. :-(

It was good to take a break from the computer for several days. I've been disillusioned with things going on in SPN fandom and can't muster up any enthusiasm for the show or the actors, so I've been staying away from LJ. It's good that the Jensen/Jared story I'm working on is an AU or I'd have chucked it.

So yeah...that's what I've been up to. And it's back to work today. Oh, yay. It's quite depressing to know that we don't have a day off until Memorial Day now. [sigh]

Thank you so much for the heads up on the spnnewsletter community. I did not know about it, I am very psyched to check it out.
I am too very invested in the actors themselves so I know what you mean. :P I hope that no matter what they both can continue to be friends. I really love the show but I trully enjoy their chemistry together even more. :-P hence me going all the way from new jersey to Vancouver to see them together lol... but you know all about that cause you were there too...lol

Thanks again for everything, it was a pleasure to have met you... And I am glad you didnt think I was a crazy stalker when I caught up with you in Vancouver. My husband kep telling me that you were gonna stick security on me, lol... cause thats what he would do if some random stranger said to him: Hi I like you LJ account. :P lol So thanks again.

That's actually at the heart of the issue right now, their friendship and how it seems to have been falling apart for quite some time. And that really depresses me. :-(

ROTFL! Oh, you wouldn't believe the amount of strangers that come up to me and say that very thing. :-) But that's the best part about the conventions! Meeting people like yourself! I'm very glad you threw caution to the wind and said Hello. :-)

Thanks for adding me as a friend. I hope the guys can resolve their issues cause it would really break my heart if their friendship fell apart. I think that is what has made this show as amazing as it is. Their friendship, chemistry, and sense of brotherhood.

Sadly I will not get to go this year to any conventions. But its because we have been blessed with a little bundle of joy. I was hoping for twin boys so I could name them sam and dean or jared and jensen, luckily for my husband it is a girl, she will be arriving sometime in march and her name will Isabella.

Its funny cause the trip to Vancouver was my husbands way of helping me focus on something other then not being able to get pregnant. LOL and like three weeks before the trip I found out I was pregnant. Jared and Jensne are so amazing that they get you pregnant by just thinking about getting a picture taken with them :P LOL but dont tell my husband he thinks it was all him LMAO.

Sorry for talking so much on your LJ. I swear I am not gonna be posting like paragraphs for you to read everyday.:P Have a nice rest of the week.

I know. It's killing me to hear about all of this. I've never known two complete strangers to hit it off so well and so fast and become best friends. And that bled onto the screen, making Sam and Dean's relationship all the more powerful. If we lose that, we'll end up losing the show and not getting a sixth season for sure. :-(
