I got this icon meme from [livejournal.com profile] adelheide because I couldn't help but play along. I love finding out why people have certain icons. Would you like to play, too?

1. Reply to this post with "not today," and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.

Here's what [livejournal.com profile] adelheide chose of mine:

Ah, this one combines my two favorite things - my love of photography and Jensen Ackles. You've inspired me by choosing this one to actually get back into taking some photos this year!

I've been practicing yoga for many, many years and this reminds me of the peace and tranquility I feel and usually use the icon when I'm feeling mellow.

This is just so ME in so many ways - I'm an artist, I love color and I'll always be a kid at heart with my box of crayons.

My little baby Bean! Having lost both Chloe and Mandy in the space of a year, this crazy kitten is the light of my life. I adore this photo of her with her little tongue sticking out that I captured completely by accident.

Tenderheart Bear was always my favorite of the Care Bears when I was a kid. To me this icon just says "friendship" whenever I use it.

Apart from the ones from TV, they're all my own photos (though not a patch on yours). I'm particularly proud of the default one with the young eagle - we were right beside the nest, and I was sitting on my friend's shoulders to get high enough to take the shot (the nest was about five foot from base to top) and only managed to get the one photo before the bird flew off. It's a scan of a print made from a slide which is why it isn't as clear as it might be; the photo itself dates from the early sixties.

Wow, what a great story about the eagle! Now that’s the sign of a good photographer - climbing on whatever happens to be handy to get the shot. :-)
