I got this icon meme from
adelheide because I couldn't help but play along. I love finding out why people have certain icons. Would you like to play, too?
1. Reply to this post with "not today," and I will pick five of your icons.
2. Make a post (including the meme info) and talk about the icons I chose.
3. Other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
4. This will create a never-ending cycle of icon glee.
Here's what
adelheide chose of mine:

Ah, this one combines my two favorite things - my love of photography and Jensen Ackles. You've inspired me by choosing this one to actually get back into taking some photos this year!

I've been practicing yoga for many, many years and this reminds me of the peace and tranquility I feel and usually use the icon when I'm feeling mellow.

This is just so ME in so many ways - I'm an artist, I love color and I'll always be a kid at heart with my box of crayons.

My little baby Bean! Having lost both Chloe and Mandy in the space of a year, this crazy kitten is the light of my life. I adore this photo of her with her little tongue sticking out that I captured completely by accident.

Tenderheart Bear was always my favorite of the Care Bears when I was a kid. To me this icon just says "friendship" whenever I use it.

Date: 2014-02-07 07:05 am (UTC)Interesting that you picked three of the four shows I've liked enough to write anything in... I don't have to see slash potential (never saw any in SG1, for example) but there has to be something in the relationship - I couldn't explain what, but I know it when I see it.
First one - although I never actually got into the fandom, I enjoyed watching SG1. The relationship between the characters really worked for me. Have only written a couple of SG1 stories, and they were crossed with Sentinel.
Second one - I was only marginally into Professionals fandom, but again I liked the relationship between the characters. Wrote one or two stories, but not many.
Third - Bobbi, my Bulgarian karakachan (or karakachan cross) rescue dog. I've had him about eleven months now, and while he's still extremely nervous with strangers he's finally relaxed with me.
Fourth - well, Blair of course. One of my favourite fictional characters, and most of the Sentinel stories I've written are Blair-centric. Unlike many writers, I don't subject my favourite characters to extreme injury, though - I prefer to have them getting on with the story, not languishing in a hospital bed :-)
Fifth - my living room window faces north, and, just looking out of the window, I often see rainbows. I was struck by the sheer beauty of this one, which (although it's not terribly clear) is a double. The photo just didn't do justice to the actual rainbow, though.

I picked them because they’re three of my absolute favorite shows, too! :-) There’s just something about those buddy-buddy shows, aren’t there?
Thanks for playing - I loved hearing the stories behind your icons. :-)
