Leverage - The Order 23 Job
It was the Eliot-Hardison Show last night and it was freakin' AWESOME!
The Order 23 Job was made of win last night. :-)
But once again, TNT is fucking with the airing order. The Order 23 Job was supposed to be episode number two, coming before The Tap-Out Job. And with Eliot's storyline in these last two, seeing Order 23 first would've made more sense, going along with WHY Eliot is a fighter.
Anyway, here were my favorite highlights from last night:
• Parker was SO pleased with herself with her "poison" on a string trick. :-)
• The "white nurses stockings" and the look Eliot and Hardison give each other was priceless! And thus starts the Eliot-Hardison Show. *g*
• When Eliot and Hardison start fighting over the shirt I nearly peed myself laughing. They were like two little kids, fighting while Nate was talking. God, little things like that are why I love this show.
• Eliot and Hardison in full cop uniform was HOT!
• Hardison's "let's talk in code, I'll mention Star Trek" had me howling, along with Eliot saying he had no TV. But dead people have TVs according to Hardison. :-)
• And here Chris Kane steps up to the acting plate with the beginning of Eliot's storyline with the battered young boy and his father. Once again we see a crack in the tough guy's armor and a glimpse into his past. I can't be the only one thinking that Eliot himself was physically abused as a child. Every scene Eliot had with the young boy nearly broke my heart.
• "Did you just give a guy a nosebleed with the power of your mind?" LOL! Again, kudos to the writers for this kind of dialogue.
• "Dr. Wrath of Kahn" - ROTFL! Who knew that Hardison was actually going to use a ST reference?? And it saved Eliot's life!
• Eliot fighting with a big metal bowl was awesome. :-)
• Parker punches a guy! Woot! Go, girl!
• The end of this episode was just fantastic. I knew Eliot was going to find some way to save that boy and get him away from his abusive father. And to see Eilot sitting in that car outside really, really touched me. I love Eliot more and more with every single episode.
I'm usually very interested in the actual con going on in the episodes, but last night it really took a backseat to all of the Eliot-Hardison interaction and the abused boy storyline. Did anyone else feel the same way?
Ok, there you have it! My thoughts on The Order 23 Job. What did YOU guys think of it? And who else is pissed that they no longer show the coming attractions for next week's episode until FIFTEEN MINUTES into Dark Blue?? I don't like being held hostage. You lose, big time, TNT. Not cool at all.

Date: 2009-07-30 07:46 pm (UTC)This preview thing really is bull. I'm hoping that they go back to showing them right after Leverage soon, because if you haven't gotten hooked on Dark Blue 4-5 weeks after it got started, you're not suddenly gonna start watching. So give us back our previews, TNT!!

Date: 2009-07-30 07:57 pm (UTC)exactly! its been on for weeks and I just don't like the show, so i just keep it on mute and glance at the screen every now and then to make sure the preview hasn't come on xD
although seeing Nicki Aycox (Meg) on the show last night was a nice little surprise for me xD
