The weekend wrap-up
Sep. 12th, 2016 08:48 amHad a laid back, relaxing weekend, which was nice. I’ve kind of been running myself ragged (and will be again starting this Friday) so I just wanted to chill.
On Saturday, John and I had breakfast out then a few hours later went to the French Market. We hadn’t been there in several weeks so it was nice to go back. We picked up some delicious baked goods and then I was thrilled to see the magnetic bracelet lady was back. I bought one from her well over a year ago and I’ve worn it so much the paint was starting to come off the beads. I’ve looked for her ever since and she’s never been back. Then suddenly there she was! I have a tiny wrist and she will custom make them for you right there, which I love. I bought three from her this time AND got her business card. :-) Here’s a photo of them. Aren’t they pretty?

Afterwards we went to Wok N’ Fire for lunch. My gorgeous waiter wasn’t there. Bummer! LOL! But once again we had a fabulous meal, trying different things from our first visit.
While it had been cloudy and rainy on Saturday, the weather on Sunday was gorgeous. I went for a walk around the lake then sat outside to finish reading a book.
After lunch John and I went to the library. I’ve lived here for three years and hadn’t gotten around to getting a card yet. But there are books I’d like to check out for more military research for my novels so it was the perfect time. I was very impressed by the app they have! Libraries are so high-tech nowadays. :-)
And that was about it. Ended my night watching Captain America: Winter Soldier since it’s now being shown on the FX channel constantly. :-)
How was YOUR weekend?
