The (extended holiday) weekend wrap-up

Hi all!
I decided to take an extended Labor Day holiday and have been off work (and pretty much the computer) for the last five days. It was glorious!
The weather for the first three days was simply fabulous (then it got unbearably hot and muggy) and I spent a heck of a lot of time outside, either sitting and reading or walking around the lake behind my house. Surprisingly, none of my neighbors had any sort of big Labor Day celebration or BBQ so I very much enjoyed the quiet. In all of my walking I plotted out 80% of a new book! John and I went out to breakfast a few times and we also treated ourselves to a fondue dinner at The Melting Pot. So delicious! I also got bored one afternoon and spontaneously made cupcakes. John did not object. ;-)
I mainly enjoyed just relaxing and being stress free but I did do one thing that was very exciting. Yesterday I went indoor skydiving! It was an early 45th birthday present to myself. I had such an amazing time!! What an awesome experience. I got to do four “jumps” and then at the end the instructor took hold of me, spun me around, took me all the way up to the top of the wind tunnel, dropped us back down and did it all over again. What a rush! LOL! I would definitely go jumping again, now that I know the basics of body, hand and leg positions. I know I’d do much better.
Here are a few photos, then more under the cut that John tried to take of me while he watched. I also have a video I’m going to try and upload later tonight.
