Summertime TV
Jul. 20th, 2010 07:35 amThings have been crazy at home lately, so I've gotten behind on my summer TV viewing. I did finally get the chance to sit down and watch a few season premieres:
• White Collar - Yay! Peter and Neal and their epic bromance is back! An excellent start to the second season, which I have high hopes will be as good as the first. It was neat to see Peter angsting over what Neal was about to tell him in the season finale right before the plane blew up, then Neal later telling him. Awww. :-) I was waiting all episode for Neal to wear the hat, and he finally did at the end. Yay! Speaking of the end, whoa! Didn't see that twist coming! I'm not very thrilled, but I'm hoping all is not as it seems.
• Covert Affairs - I'm not one who cares for a female as the leading character (don't know why, really) but I gave this one a shot because I've loved Christopher Gorham since Jake 2.0. And I love him as Auggie! Though being blind, I'm not sure how much action he's going to have. But he's funny. The part at the bar was great. :-) I did like Piper Perabo and the show in general was pretty good, so I'll give it another go this week.
• Psych - Shawn and Gus are back! I got into this show late, toward the beginning of the fourth season (and quickly caught up on all three previous seasons) and I really like it. But the season premiere? It left me feeling kinda "meh" about it. I didn't find it particularly funny, and I really don't like Shawn's dad working at the police department. And will Shawn and Juliet get together already?? Argh! I honestly thought the funniest part was after the show was over, and they showed those fight scenes over and over, with the goofs. And then the Psych Out after that.
Taped the second episode of The Glades on Sunday and will hopefully have time to watch it tonight. If the main character isn't much more likable in this episode I'm gonna dump it.
Ordered the first season of Being Human from Amazon last night. The second season gets started on BBC America next weekend, so I went looking for the S1 DVDs on Amazon and what perfect timing! It gets released today! Now I can dump my homemade DVDs.
Speaking of TV, I get the Moron Award when it comes to Supernatural. I was working on a project in my bedroom Friday night and had SPN on as background noise. They were showing The Real Ghostbusters. So it gets to the end of the episode where Becky is telling Sam about Lilith and the Colt, what was written in the books Chuck wrote and she says, "She gave the Colt to the demon Crowley."
Ok, I nearly gave myself whiplash I looked up at the TV so fast. I swear to GOD, I don't ever remember Becky saying the name Crowley back then!
So yeah. I'm an idiot. :-)
