Okay, raise your hand and admit that you, too, watched The Jensen Project on Friday just for giggles. :-)
I didn't know until this morning that it was supposed to be a pilot episode for NBC. And after watching it I can see why they passed and just showed it as a movie! Wow, that was bad! And too bad, because I really like David Andrews. But the script was horrible.
And the entire movie was nothing but a two-hour commercial for WalMart, who was the sponsor. There was a commercial for the store in EVERY break. And let's not forget all of the blatant product placements! First we had XBox 360 (then a commercial for it), next was Pur Water (who also had a commercial) and then Orville Redenbacher's popcorn (with a commercial for that as well).
What's with that product placement trend? In last week's episode of Warehouse 13, Myka was offered a piece of pie, but she declines, saying, "I'm more of a Twizzler girl", then pulls a pack out of her pocket. The entire scene was SO awkward and left me scratching my head, until the very next break featured a commercial for Twizzlers. This nonsense has got to stop.
Anyway, back to the Jensen project - there was also a commercial for the DVD of it that contains TWO HOURS of bonus material. What? LOL! We can't even get that much bonus material for an entire SEASON of Supernatural, but this stupid movie gets that much??
So yeah, the movie was stupid (as I was expecting it to be) but hearing and seeing the name Jensen for two-hours was amusing. :-)
