No, they're just with them - Ruby with Sam and Bela with Dean. And Ruby makes a comment that they've been together for weeks. Nice, eh?

The sides don't appear to be from any particular episode, though. There's no ep title on the pages, like all of the rest that have been released in the past for S1 and S2.

So apparently these are just for casting purposes. Either way, they make me barf. Even if the pages aren't from an upcoming episode, these are the character traits they're looking for, and if this happens and these girls turn out the way they're written here, I'll be gone from this show faster than you can blink.

Just my own personal theory, but reading those pages?

Possession. Both Mary Sues read like demons. Sure, they're supposed to be hunters, but what better way to keep tabs on Dean and Sam? Evidently the guys have something the demon-MarySues want. So they will do whatever they need to get it. We've seen demons possess female bodies in the past to go after both Sam and Dean.

Exactly they are taking the boys traits and giving them to the girls and the girls are better hunters? What the hell? WHy do I want to watch this show?

I know other people keep saying I'll watch anyway(and I agree when writing one shouldn't say I won't watch though that does get attention sometimes:) but honestly I won't. I can't do it again, I've stuck with too many shows for too long and I can't see any reason to do it again.

The moment I saw the spoiler for the female hunter casting, I was pissed. Especially since the descriptions? FEMALE versions of Sam and Dean. How much you wanna bet Dean goes for the Sam-ish one and vice-versa? Aside from just CONFIRMING the bros are teh hawt for each other, it's just...just...the epitome of extremely BAD FANFIC!

That's funny I hated Bela worse than Ruby. :) She totally comes off as the "Ima out-tough you boy" chick.

I don't find it remotely enjoyable to see either of the boys make out to be essentially "children" in their own show while the Big Girls show them how it's done, except with less conscience.

If it's even the slightest consolation, DSinLA over on TWoP (originator of the initial information) said he doesn't think these are actual sides (actual sides are, well, actual portions of scripts), but just something to help cast the girls and test them against Jared & Jensen, essentially. We'll see, though.

Makes sense, since all sides typically tell you what episode they're from. These don't sound like they're from an episode at all. I know you've never seen Angel, but I'm going to give you a great example - in late Season 3, they brought on a character to play Angel's adult son (he would be a regular in Season 4). On the DVDs for Season 3 or 4, they included the actor's test audition with the actor who plays Angel. This test audition was HORRENDOUS and so far from what the character turned out to be - cheesy and stupid. This type of test audition originated from exactly these types of sides.

I wouldn't be surprised at all for that to be the same situation here. The purpose of these sides seems to be to try and bring out a couple different emotions - testing different facets of the chemistry and the actresses' range.

I truly, truly think that's what these are. Not script sides.

I honestly don't see that it makes a difference. So the dialogue will be different. These are still the essential traits they are looking for. I don't like the characters at all. I have no interest in seeing them on a regular basis. And in any case it's still boy/girl, boy/girl. So split up the boys please.

Honestly, I don't think even good actresses can overcome the character traits they're looking for in these bimbos. Even if Eliza Dushku (Faith) is playing one of them I'd still hate the character. :-(

Well, to be honest, it's not THAT bad. And since we are obviously stuck with these two - the fans obviously weren't asked - we might as well do the best of it.

So far, they don't sound too partner-ish. And maybe their cynism could be used to accentuate how close the boys are to each other.

I can either try to be optimistic or I can spend the next three months pissed. And that would be one helluva long summer.

I haven't even seen season 2 yet (NZ's always a year behind the rest of the world), but I've already seen female characters wreck episodes. The strength of Supernatural is the brother-brother, sometimes angsty, sometimes comic, relationship. Adding another person into the mix for any great time squashes that relationship (even John's presence did that). I'm kind of worried about how regular these women will be. The absolute worst they could do is create a love triangle.

Unfortunately, Ruby and Bela are all too true, and even though Eric says they won't become girlfriends for the boys, he also said he's going to wait and see "if sparks fly". Yeah, that's your answer right there - Ruby will get Sam and Bela will get Dean - and I'll be getting a barf bag and turning off the TV.
