The weekend wrap-up

Hey all! Another Monday already? Ugh.
Had kind of a busy weekend. I spent a good chunk of Saturday on the computer, answering dozens of interview questions from bloggers who will be featuring me next week when my new ebook, Broken Soldier, debuts. I swear all the self-promotion that comes afterwards is harder than writing the book! LOL! Then I actually sent Broken Soldier off to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBookstore, Kobo and ARe to be published. Now waiting anxiously for all of the listings to go live. I'll be posting here with the cover reveal and Buy links next week. I'm very proud of this book.
I did have some time for reading, too. I finished Allegiant, the last book in the Divergent series. I loved Divergent and Insurgent, but man, Allegiant sucked! It was like it was written by someone else. The tone and story was so…basic and had no emotional punch like the first two books. And it was boring! I have no idea how they made a movie out of this, that premieres next week. But they changed so much of Insurgent that I hope they have with Allegiant, too. Especially the ending!
I also finished X-Files: The Truth is Out There, the second anthology book. Now this one I really enjoyed. Makes me miss the show all over again! Those six revival episodes just weren't enough!
But the best thing I did all weekend was go to my curling lesson last night! I feel so Canadian now. I have to say I had a blast, even though it was certainly not easy! I have some bruises from tipping over on the ice and my leg muscles are killing me. :-) John took a few pictures of me. I was the captain of the team, or the "skip" so I stood down at the opposite end of the rink and directed my teammates where I wanted them to throw the stones. And then I got to throw the last two stones of the "end" or inning. It was a close game but we ended up losing by just one point. Darn! :-)

How was YOUR weekend?
