Hey all! Another Monday already? Ugh.

Had kind of a busy weekend. I spent a good chunk of Saturday on the computer, answering dozens of interview questions from bloggers who will be featuring me next week when my new ebook, Broken Soldier, debuts. I swear all the self-promotion that comes afterwards is harder than writing the book! LOL! Then I actually sent Broken Soldier off to Amazon, Barnes & Noble, iBookstore, Kobo and ARe to be published. Now waiting anxiously for all of the listings to go live. I'll be posting here with the cover reveal and Buy links next week. I'm very proud of this book.

I did have some time for reading, too. I finished Allegiant, the last book in the Divergent series. I loved Divergent and Insurgent, but man, Allegiant sucked! It was like it was written by someone else. The tone and story was so…basic and had no emotional punch like the first two books. And it was boring! I have no idea how they made a movie out of this, that premieres next week. But they changed so much of Insurgent that I hope they have with Allegiant, too. Especially the ending!

I also finished X-Files: The Truth is Out There, the second anthology book. Now this one I really enjoyed. Makes me miss the show all over again! Those six revival episodes just weren't enough!

But the best thing I did all weekend was go to my curling lesson last night! I feel so Canadian now. I have to say I had a blast, even though it was certainly not easy! I have some bruises from tipping over on the ice and my leg muscles are killing me. :-) John took a few pictures of me. I was the captain of the team, or the "skip" so I stood down at the opposite end of the rink and directed my teammates where I wanted them to throw the stones. And then I got to throw the last two stones of the "end" or inning. It was a close game but we ended up losing by just one point. Darn! :-)

How was YOUR weekend?

Awesome pics! Curling looks like fun! Will you be going back?
I had a lazy weekend and it was peaceful, so it was nice to relax.
But when I woke up this morning I thought it was Sunday, lol!

Curling was a blast! I now know I have no innate talent for it, but it was fun to give it a shot. :-) If Groupon has another offer for it I will definitely go back and try it again.

Glad you had a lazy, peaceful weekend! And look, tomorrow’s Friday already and nearly time for another one. :-)

Your weekend, again, sounds as if you are continually busy doing something. That curling class looks interesting. Watched it in the Olympics but never quite understood the rules. It must take a lot of skill and a bit of luck to win.
Got some needed work around the house done. Cleaned and cloroxed the patio furniture on the porch where the stray cat had been sitting and shedding. Tracking in a bunch of sand as well, but not sure where it picked that up. Also did some yard work. With the winds and rain there were a lot of branches, twigs and weeds to be pulled up all over. It is beautiful here right now. Temps in the high 70's and blue skies. Really appreciate that it is not so cold now.
Did go out with friends on Friday night to Ruby Tuesday's. It has become one of our favorite eateries. And for a chain it is quite good.
Hope you upcoming week is a good one and congrats on your book.

You’ve got to love Groupon! I’ve tried so many different activities because of it. I now know I have no innate talent for curling, but it was fun to give it a shot. :-) And now I *do* know the rules so I’ll enjoy watching it on TV more.

So your stray cat goes to the beach then comes and sits on your porch and gets sand everywhere? :-)

We’re actually, finally, having some nice weather here, too. Not quite up in the 70’s like you, but the mid-60’s. I’ll take it after having snow just last week!

Oh gosh, I loved Ruby Tuesday’s! They all closed in Chicago several years ago. They had the best salad bar and crab cakes.

Thank you! I’m very excited for my new book. It should be available for sale in just a few days.

Thanks! I now know I have no innate talent for it, but it was fun to give it a shot. :-) I was amazed at how much longer it looks from one end to the other than what it appears to be on TV!
