The weekend wrap-up

Is it Monday again? Already? Ugh. So wasn't ready for the alarm clock to go off this morning.

Had a busy weekend! Spent a couple of hours on Saturday gathering up all the gifts, getting out the paper and bows and tags and then wrapping all the Hanukkah and Christmas presents. Quite the pile, eh?

On Sunday the hubby and I spent the afternoon and most of the evening over at my best buddy charityflint's house for our annual Christmas party. Charity cooked up a delicious meal of glazed ham, carrots and a potato casserole. Yum! After we ate we exchanged gifts and among other things I got the first season of Hawaii Five-0 and Almost Human DVDs. Yay! Charity has a gorgeous Christmas tree and I got a photo of the two of us in front of it.

Because my birthday is so close to Christmas we celebrate it at the same time when the four of us get together. Check out the amazing birthday cake Charity made for me. It's two layers of chocolate cake with whipped cream, raspberries and Nutella in the middle, plus more whipped cream and raspberries on top. OMG, SO GOOD.

All in all it was a really lovely evening spent with friends sharing the holiday spirit. :-)

I love wrapping presents, too! And so many people hate it! I can't understand why. It's fun! I put on Christmas music and just go to town. I wish I had more to wrap!

That cake was amazing. I had another piece last night.

Sounds like a great and festive weekend! We saw "White Christmas" on the big screen at a local theatre; that was a fun experience.

Oh that's great! I love watching "communal" movies like that where everyone knows all of the lines, etc. Makes it even more entertaining!

I our the Christmas tree up at the weekend and wrapped a few presents and played with Hampy. And I bought a new phone from eBay.

I've been wanting to upgrade my phone for a little while and nearly everyone in the office has a new iPhone but I like Nokia Lumia so I'm getting a Lumia 925. Not the newest but still a step up from my Lumia 800. :)

I'm about done with the iPhones. I don't like the new operating system, the graphics, etc. My contract was just up in October so I can get something else now if I want. I think I'll look at the Nokia's!
