The weekend wrap-up

Well the Monday I've been waiting for has finally arrived - Day One of Moving Day!

Needless to say, the weekend was a bit stressful, not helped by the fact that I was battling a bad headache all day and evening on Saturday. But work still got accomplished, the final boxes being packed.

We took a bit of a break on Sunday. Got up early and went out and had breakfast then we drove to our new townhouse. The previous tenants had moved out four days prior so we knew it was empty. We took a walk around the outside, peeked in through the windows. Then we went for a mile walk around the lake that is right behind our unit. Beautiful day out. We saw several people fishing and two families of ducks with little baby ducklings out swimming.

Got home and I turned around and went out to get my hair re-cut. She did a horrible job on the back of my head the other day so I wanted it fixed. Thankfully she wasn't there and another gal took me right away and in a matter of five minutes had everything evened out in the back. I look much better now! :-)

After that it was work, work, work. We loaded up the Jeep with a bunch of boxes in preparation for today. John goes this morning to pick up the keys then he's going to start moving things over.

My stupid landlord called and said he wanted to bring people by to see the house on both Saturday and Sunday. Then called again and canceled both of them. ARGH! Can't wait to be rid of this guy!

Did get a chance to relax a bit last night and we finished watching the second part of The Escape Artist with David Tennant. He was great but man, there were SO many plot holes in that movie it was ridiculous.

So yeah, nothing too exciting this weekend. We're going to be so glad when this move is over come tomorrow afternoon. [sigh]

Thank you, sweetheart! It was a long, tiring process for two days but we're all moved in now. So much work to do with all those boxes that need to be unpacked. But after that I'm definitely looking forward to putting my own stamp on the place, so to speak. :-)

At least you'll soon be rid of the crappy landlord! Moving isn't fun (getting ready to do it again myself for the umpteenth time, so I speak from experience), but once you're settled in the new place, it won't be so bad. Good luck with your move!

Thanks! Unfortunately it was a torrential downpour on Monday night and we were out in it for over 3 hours. [sigh] But we're all moved in now. It was a long process and we're glad it's over. :-)

Poor Bean was so upset when everything got started on Tuesday morning I was afraid she'd try and make a break for it yesterday morning. But she's a little trooper and is now strutting around the new place like she owns it. :-)

we are still sad case we were eliminated from the world cup thanks to the referee ...
The four matches were something like Mexico vs the referees,, I don't know if they sell themselves or they are just terrible referees,, but I am very proud of the team even when in the first match 2 goals were wrongly annulated the team still won to Cameroon
