The birthday aftermath

Well I have survived another birthday. :-)  But I couldn't have done it without all of YOU! Many thanks to:

Four of my friends/co-workers took me out for dinner on Friday night and it was a blast. Good food, good drinks, good presents. Between Christmas and my birthday I have enough Amazon gift cards to last me for months! Score! And it was quite the Star Wars-themed birthday as well. I got four SW gifts and two cards! LOL! I did return the kindness by bringing them all two pieces of my famous Milky Way cake. You should have seen the way their faces lit up! Hee!

Slept in yesterday then was a very bad girl and had a piece of the cake for breakfast. Hey, it was my birthday! ;-)  Watched a few more episodes of that Doctor Who marathon I'd taped the other night (yeah, really loving David Tennant and Rose and Martha). Then I treated myself to a few birthday gifts by hitting up the used bookstore. They're already half off, then they were having a 20% off storewide sale. Ended up with five m/m books! Sweet!

All of my German friends here will be pleased to hear that the hubby took me for German food for dinner. Not bad, but definitely not as good as the authentic cuisine! Then we hit up Dunkin Donuts for raspberry hot chocolate before heading over to our Town Square park, which was all decorated with lights. They had extended the free horse and carriage rides one last weekend, which worked out perfectly.

Headed home after that to warm up in front of the fire with another piece of birthday cake and another Doctor Who episode. Great way to end my birthday!
