Best moments from Sleepy Human

Really busy this morning so just a couple of humorous observations from Almost Human and Sleepy Hollow last night:
• Like Kennex, I can never unsee the "life size Ken doll" we now know the androids to be. ROTFL!!
• Dorian and Kennex's conversations in the car have now topped Danny and Steve's from Hawaii 5-0. First we had Dorian scanning Kennex's testicles and now Dorian just whips his out! "Is that all for one person?? Dude, put it away!" I swear to God I nearly fell off the bed I was laughing so hard!
• Loved seeing Kavan Smith and was it just me or was Dorian channeling the Six Million Dollar Man there at the end with chasing after the van?
• I feel so bad for Ichabod. His losses just keep piling up. But is it bad for me to not want Katrina to come back because I think he and Abbie are so perfect together? Case in point - the mistletoe. Awww!
• "You embroidered my name on over-sized hosiery?" Love it!
Who else watched last night? Going to kill me to wait until January 20th for the last two eps of Sleepy Hollow. Man, I really wish it didn't have just 16 episodes this season.
P.S. - great article on Almost Human HERE

Date: 2013-12-10 03:13 pm (UTC)I think more and more the networks are going to start imitating the cable channels with regards to their new shows - shorter seasons, limited runs, etc.

Date: 2013-12-12 01:54 am (UTC)Fewer episodes definitely make for better storytelling. Cuts down on the number of standalone eps and really moves the “mythology” along faster. But sometimes a show like SH comes along and you want more episodes! :-)
I agree that this might turn out to be the new trend in TV programming. Which also means twice as many new shows, which could also be a good thing.

Date: 2013-12-10 09:51 pm (UTC)I am also a fan of Sleepy Hollow especially the way Ichabod talks about the differences in the use of the word intercourse in his day and now.

Date: 2013-12-10 10:10 pm (UTC)It's one of my fav tv nights of the week, both shows make me happy, and last night's episodes were particularly strong ones.
And, yes, I'm a total Ichabbie fan! Katrina needs to give Ichabod her blessing to pursue a relationship with Abbie, dammit. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. ;)

Date: 2013-12-12 01:52 am (UTC)This is the first time in forever that I actually have “appointment TV” again, where I watch them the night that they’re on. What are the chances that two great shows would be on back-to-back? Makes me not hate Mondays anymore!
Yay, another Ichabbie fan! See, I’m confused by something - is Katrina dead or not? Is it just her soul that’s trapped in purgatory or her actual body? Is it possible for her to return to the real world? If not, then heck yes she needs to tell Ichabod to get with Abbie and be happy!

Date: 2013-12-13 07:25 pm (UTC)Anyway, it is confusing now. When we first met Katrina, it seemed like she was contacting Ichabod from the dead, and specifically Purgatory.
Ichabod found the mock tombstone in the church cemetery where he knew she wouldn't really be buried because she was a witch - but at the time it was assumed she was buried or cremated elsewhere.
Now I don't know. They're making it seem like she's a live being trapped in Purgatory by Moloch (sp?), like Dean was; and that if Ichabod can get her released somehow, she'll be back to the land of the living and she and Ichabod reunited.
I'm not sure it's certain which way the showrunners are going. That being said, they certainly haven't shown us a death scene for Katrina, so I have a feeling it's more likely the latter.
Though I guess she can be resurrected only to be killed.

Date: 2013-12-17 01:18 am (UTC)I’m actually thinking this might happen. Because if she gets released then Crane has pretty much completed his quest. He was released from his blood bond with the Horseman and then he saves his wife. Done and done. But if she then does die for real he’s reinvested again. We’ve already got Crane, Abbie, Jenny and the Captain. If Katrina is then tagging along it’s going to turn into the Scooby Gang!

Date: 2013-12-17 01:17 am (UTC)(Rambling)Oh God, pass me the brain bleach...
Date: 2013-12-17 01:00 am (UTC)The one character on SH I don't like is Katrina(maybe because she's named after the hurricane, heh?)I do want Ichabod to get together with this emancipated black female in trousers!
Sidebar: does every black female character have to have long, straight hair?? Maybe it's straightened, maybe it's extensions, but in a way it really ticks me off that not one woman wears her hair in a natural. When S. Epatha Merkeson played the chief in "Mann and Machine" she wore her own braids, but she said herself that when she was doing research to play Anita VanBuren on "L&O" she found that the police force frowned on braids, so she wore a wig. Please, TV, we exist! Show me one black chick with nappy hair! Ok, rambling rant over...
For Xmas I'm finally giving myself "Beauty and the Beast(CBS!)" and "Wild Wild West"--so, so agree with fans on Amazon calling WWW 'the great-grandfather of steampunk'. JIM AND ARTIE 4-EVAH!
Don't worry, Cas is getting some presents too(hee)...

Date: 2013-12-17 11:31 pm (UTC)LOL! That scene was priceless! I laughed so hard John called upstairs wondering what was going on. :-)
I am so praying that AH will be on home vid, so I can run an endless loop of all the car scenes...
Oh, I’m SO buying this as soon as it comes out on DVD. Though I wonder if some enterprising fan has already collected all the car scenes and made a vid of them on YouTube. *g*

Same here! I’m really hoping that she doesn’t get out of Purgatory.

LOL! Amen, baby!

You’re absolutely right. What’s with that? And I’ve got to think it’s a long (and damaging) process to keep straightening your hair so you’d think more women would be like, no, I’m keeping my curls.

That’s so utterly ridiculous! Why would the police force care what your hair looks like? That’s none of their business. I loved her hair on M&M because it was natural.

Ha! I never even thought that they really were the first steampunk! Mmm...Robert Conrad in those tight pants. ;-)

I need new pics of the little guy!!
