It was SO FREAKING COLD this weekend that I never even left the house. It was literally 11 degrees and felt like 7 degrees on Sunday. Are you kidding me?? It's not even December yet! So I hibernated in with good books and good TV.

Let's see:

• Finished reading the first paperback book based on Grimm, called The Icy Touch. It wasn't bad. But they went a bit over the top with bringing in like, 42 different kind of Wesen. That was a bit much.

• Started a new m/m romance called Transgressions by Erastes. While I'm enjoying the relationship between Jonathan and David, I'm struggling a bit with the language. It's set in 1642 England and Jonathan is a Puritan and only speaks in sentences like, "Dost thou not…" etc.

• Got caught up on Sleepy Hollow (loved the twist with finding out who the Horseman is!) and White Collar (really tired of the secrets between Neal and Peter year after year after year). I'm also watching Strike Back: Origins, a six part "prequel" to the Scott and Stonebridge series I really like. But man, Origins couldn't be more different if it tried! The only similarities between the two are that it's two guys working for Section 20. That's it. I expected a partnership/friendship between Porter and Collinson like Scott and Stonebridge but instead Porter and Collinson pretty much hate one another. I'm not surprised this only lasted one season in the UK because it's just not enjoyable to watch. But I'm sticking with it for the final episode to see how Porter ended up in the premiere of the Scott and Stonebridge series.

• Watched that 50th anniversary episode of Doctor Who. While I'm not a Who fan, I'm fast becoming a David Tennant fan after Broadchurch. My good friend Adam is a major Who fan, and I've learned many things from him over the years, so I wasn't as lost watching Day of the Doctor as I thought I'd be. And by the end I had decided I'm going to hunt down Tennant's episodes. :-)

• Started watching Arrow and have seen the first 3 eps of season one. I didn't watch it when it first premiered because I can't stand Katie Cassidy. But my buddy [livejournal.com profile] charityflint is a fan and keeps saying good things about it so I decided to give it a shot. So far so good! Though Katie is still a horrible actress.

• The only thing that marred my weekend was the utter failure of my first author interview. Lorraine and I worked really hard on that extensive interview and with the exception of two of my friends (yes I'm looking at you [livejournal.com profile] cadia58 and [livejournal.com profile] celtprincess13!) I didn't receive one comment from a new follower. What disappointed me the most was that up until this point I've found the Dreamspinner author list to be extremely supportive but I didn't receive one comment from anyone there, either. I'm honestly really crushed. I had expected my fellow authors to check me out and I was convinced it would be a huge boost to my pre-order sales. Instead I'm crushed that people could care less about me. Doesn't bode well for when my book actually goes on sale next week.

I think Katie's acting is far worse on Arrow than SPN. She has no chemistry with Stephen which must be rather hard considering he has chemistry with everyone else on the show. I stopped watching after S1, but during the one episode I did watch, she wasn't any better.

I’ve only watched three episodes so far and I completely agree with you. She’s awful! And yes, zero chemistry with Stephen. Even with the guy who plays Tommy who she’s supposedly hooked up with at that point. I’m trying to fast forward through all of her scenes when I can.

If it helps, the Katie Cassidy fans have been REALLY pissed about how little screen time she's getting in S2 and how her character has been shoved into the background.

The rest of us are okay with that, though! ;)

LOL! At first I thought I’d offended you with my comment about Katie. :-) Thanks for the great info! I’m a much bigger fan of Felicity and I’ve only seen her in two eps so far, so I hope that means we’ll see more of her if it’s less of Katie.

Was it really a failure? Or did people read without commenting? Can you count the clicks? Phew, I´m happy now that I left some words...hee, was a little shy there, so my first appearance was ALMOST grown-up, so no picking on you for not mentioning Germany as one favorite country for traveling...;-))
C´mon, chin up - you gonna be a bestseller author with EVERY e-book. You did so good in the past, why should that change now, HUH?! I would DEFINITELY pre-order it (love the plot...and the sex ;-)) but I don´t have a Kindle or such. Rats!

I did look at my stats and it’s just as depressing, unfortunately. :-( Though Lorraine is getting more comments at her journal so at least someone is reading the interview. Still not the rousing success I had pictured this would be. So THANK YOU for not being shy and leaving a comment. I really appreciate that. {{HUGS}}

Ha! Well probably not that good, but judgement day is coming on December 4th, so we’ll see!

my weekend was awful,, because of the cold tempetures my allergy gets bad,, when the temperatures are cold my nose gets very congestionated so I can´t breath,, so I had to stay in home, feeling terrible, its like a flu, but you know you aren't going to get better until the temperatures get higher, and I took medicines, but I didn't get better.

well actuall we are in the forty something farenheit, (please don´t laugh at me) but we are used to sixties or seventies,, so I don´t know how I would be if we were eleven Farenheit.

And I can´t believe we are just in November !!!!

aww, but maybe they haven't seen the interview,, like me for example, I just saw your post, cause I saw your answer about a comment I lfet about the ratings on Bad Boys, and when I received the alert on my email, (that I had a new comment), and I like to read it from the owners journal post, not from my email, I went to your journal and I saw your post about the interview...

I'm sure you are going to have more comments to come, and great sells.. :D

Aww, I’m sorry you weren’t feeling well, Maggie. :-( Cold weather just sucks! Even if it’s in the 40’s. ;-) We got even more snow yesterday! I really don’t like this!
