Happy 20th Anniversary, Mulder and Scully

Just the other day marked the official 20th anniversary of The X-Files when it premiered on our TV screens - September 10th, 1993. I can't even believe it's been that long. X-Files was my first true fandom that introduced me to the world of conventions and discussion groups and most importantly, fanfic. :-) It's also where I got my AgtSpooky name from.
Saw this letter on PopSpy today that Gillian Anderson wrote to all the fans and I wanted to post it here for all my fellow 'Philes. (Sorry it's kinda big but it would be too hard to read otherwise)
The stars and writers of "The X Files" reunited this spring ahead of the anniversary, sharing anecdotes and, more memorably, giving Duchovny a chance to find out once and for all who made him wear the Speedo in that one episode (it was writer Chris Carter).
The show's actual anniversary, however, arrived on Tuesday, exactly two decades after its first air date on Sept. 10, 1993.
And yesterday's significance was not lost on Anderson, who penned a long thank-you note to the fans, cast, writers and crew who helped make "The X-Files" such a success on X-FilesNews.com.
Those of you spent the '90s waiting for Scully and Mulder to finally realize they were in love should prepare to get verklempt.

Gillian Anderson marks 'The X-Files' anniversary with a love letter
Twenty years ago this week, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson made their debut as F.B.I. special agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, a pair of paranormal experts with a knack for unraveling conspiracies and a flair for looking super hot while investigating strange, unsolved cases. During the course of its nine seasons, "The X-Files" earned multiple Emmy Awards as its fan base shifted from a small cult following to nearly 20 million viewers a week. The stars and writers of "The X Files" reunited this spring ahead of the anniversary, sharing anecdotes and, more memorably, giving Duchovny a chance to find out once and for all who made him wear the Speedo in that one episode (it was writer Chris Carter).

I wonder if the SPN crew will have a reunion for their 20. anniversary, I bet they will and they are gonna have a blast. Would be nice if they would get some Emmy Awards in their ninth season, too.
