Had a very unexpected conversation yesterday at the health food store. I work at the corporate office and it's our company retail store, so I know pretty much everyone who works there because I'm there all the time.

I finish my shopping and walk up to the register and one of the gals I know is there, with another gal who I don't know. Turns out she's new and being trained. So I hand her my employee discount card and as I do that, the gal who I do know snags my wrist. She's like, "Oh, who's that on your watch?"

I say, "It's Jensen Ackles, an actor that I like."

The new gal whips around and exclaims, "From Supernatural!"

I was like, "You know him?? And the show??" Because really, how often do you run into a fellow SPN fan in person?

She tells me, "I've been a fan of his since his soap opera days! He is SO hot."

LOL! Well that started it. Thank goodness there was no one behind me in line, because we talked about Jensen, SPN, Dark Angel and Smallville for a good 15 minutes. The other gal just kind of stared at us like, "What are you two talking about?" Ha!

I eventually had to leave but I told her that I was really going to enjoy coming to the store now so that we could gush over Jensen. :-)

What about you guys? Ever had a random run-in with a fellow SPN/Jensen/Jared fan?

My cats are named Sam and Dean and I always take them to the vet together for their check ups. No one has ever commented on their names until this year. When I checked in, the tech asked for their names and I said them and a woman standing by the check in desk looked at me and said "I know who they are!" with a big grin, a chuckle and winked.

LOL! That’s awesome! I swear if my cats weren’t both girls, that’s what their names would be, too. :-)

A few years ago, I was standing in line at Texas Frightmare Weekend, which is the largest horror convention in the south. People travel from all over to this thing. There was still about an hour before they were going to open the doors, so those of us in line started up with the small talk. There were a couple of girls behind me who mentioned they had driven in from Lawrence, Kansas, and it took everything in me not to flail. Turns out I didn't need to, because nearby a gentleman blurted out, "OH MY GOD, LIKE SAM AND DEAN!" I ended up hanging out with him and his wife for most of the convention, and we still keep in contact.

so so cool :) ,No I don't know anyone that watch the show that I've known,, when I say something about supernatural,, people always tell me: Supernatural??? what's that?

hey, is she still watching the show? cause although Supernatural is gaining a lot of fans, (I suppose the reason is "TNT drama") a few people have stopped watching it too,,

I've a friend from internet, that works in a Pet store, she said someone recognized her Dean's necklace :)

It’s kind of sad that the show’s been on for nearly 9 years now and people are still “What?”

How cool! I have people ask me about it when I wear mine, and I always make up some funny reply, like it’s a Tibetian protection amulet or something and people are like, “Wow....” LOL!

A few years ago I went to the Bristol Ren Faire wearing one of my SPN shirts. At one point I felt a tug on my shirt and looked down to see a little boy about 9 years old. He solemnly informed me that SPN was his favorite show ever in his whole life, then ran back to his parents.

I was actually just at Bristol again last Saturday. This time I was wearing my Stargate Atlantis baseball hat. While I was eating, someone in full medieval garb 2 tables over called over to me to ask, "O'Neill or Sheppard?" I said it depended on which season.

Lucky you. For me it usually goes like this:

"'Supernatural'? What's that?"

(me)"It's a TV show on the CW."

"What's that?"

(me)*sigh...*

Oh trust me, that’s usually how 90% of mine go, too, when someone asks me about my watch! I mean, really, you don’t even know the network??

I also had a fun encounter in the grocery store. I was wearing a T-shirt (and I forget which one now) that had something about Supernatural on it. The cashier saw it and said "Oh, I love that show!" We didn't talk much though, because there was a line. Enough to know that Sam was her favorite though!

One other time I was wearing another shirt that said Winchesters when I went to pick up a pizza. A guy in line asked if it was the town Winchester (which is two towns away)and a teenager standing nearby said "no, it's a TV show." Again, long line, so that was the extent of the conversation. :)

Wow, twice! I’m impressed with the people you live around! It’s neat when it happens. But it is kind of sad that the show’s been on for nearly 9 years now and people are still “What?”

Speaking of shirts, I was wearing one of mine at a department store and I walked up and got in line to pay. This older gentlemen in front of me turned around and looked at me for a second, turned away...turned back to look at me, turned away again and did it again. I almost said to him, “Yes, my shirt does say the word “demon” on it.” :-)

Fun! It has never happened to me. No one I know outside of the Internet knows what Supernatural is. I do however work with a guy who has a daughter (about 16 or 17) named Jensen. And yes, it was after our Jensen. His wife LOVED Eric Brady and DOOL. I thought that was pretty funny.

Understand,if she has been his fans since he was in the soap opera, why she asked you who is he?

No, it was the other woman at the cash register who looked at my watch first and didn’t know who he was. The second woman standing there was his fan. :-)
