'Supernatural': Misha Collins meets the Ghostfacers

"Supernatural" doesn't return to The CW until Sept. 23, but we've got a fun mid-hiatus treat for all of you Castiel fans!

Last year, we loved the "Supernatural" spin-off web series "Ghostfacers," featuring our favorite fumbling ghost hunters Ed (A.J. Buckley) and Harry (Travis Wester). But we didn't get to see all of it.

In the middle of "Supernatural's" fifth season, series star Misha Collins approached Buckley and Wester about their hilarious characters, who he didn't have the opportunity to interact with on The CW show. "He came up to us and told us he wanted to be on our show," Buckley told FearNet. "We pitched an 'Interview With an Angel' piece to ['Supernatural' creator Eric Kripke, who loved it.  We had a blast shooting it."

After "Supernatural" was picked up for Season 6, however, the "Facers" were asked to keep the segment under wraps. Until now!

Check out the episode below, in which the Ghostfacers are introduced to Castiel - who they refer to as a "TOSH" - translating opaque spectral humanoid, naturally. You won't want to miss the callback to the Season 3 "Ghostfacers" episode (R.I.P Corbett!) or Castiel's inability to repair the shattered Shatner.

You’re welcome! I think it’s hysterical that he went to Travis and AJ and was like, “Please include me, too!” I loved Cas’s bored expression at one point when they’re all screaming and trying to get away from him. :-)

The vid is quite amusing. The first like, two minutes is just the Ghostfacers screaming and running around trying to get away from Castiel and Cas just keeps getting more frustrated. :-)

That's the funniest thing I've seen this week. *g* If I knew how, I'd capture Castiel's pose around a minute in - head tilt and leaning with this "are you people serious?" expression on his face. Smiling just thinking about it.

I do love the Ghostfacers! Just in small doses. Like, Hell House will always be in my Top 10 favorite eps. But the actual Ghostfacers ep? Not so much. That was just a bit too much of Harry and Ed. :-)
