My publisher let me know that I received a really great review at the Smashwords site for my ebook, Out of the Shadows:

   you wrote about.

   I'm paraphrasing this from someone I know on another site, "Abuse is
   usually off putting in a story, but if it’s approached right it can actually
   make a story better. If not, it can make it worse."

   You added a real element, and didn't make it feel like it was just thrown
   in so Shane and Tyler could meet. It's an important part of the story,
   and I'm glad you didn't treat it as,"Oh, it happened, now it's over.
   Whatever.". Thank you for giving a hard subject some respect.
