For those of you following the new Supernatural comic series, here's info on the last two issues:

The Winchesters get a major break in their hunt for John Dee, but how much closer are they really to the Yellow Eyed Demon? And can Sam and John put aside the growing rift between them to work as a team for one final mission? This senses-shattering penultimate issue is a shocker!

I'm really, really curious as to how Dabb & Loflin handle the fight that makes Sam leave. It won't be canon, per se, but I'm interested in their take on it.

I'll be honest and admit I didn't even consider picking up this series since it doesn't seem like Dean figures much, if at all, and I'd had enough of Sam and John screaming at each other at the end of season one. Over it.

If there are any good insights, I'll just pick them up from those of you who are reading the series.

Even though the focus of the series is about what lead up to Sam leaving for Stanford, Dean is right there in every issue, hunting with John and Sam. And being concerned about Sam and about he and John fighting. I don't feel that Dean is getting the shaft.

As for Sam and John fighting, I don't mind so much because it's bittersweet. Both of them wanting something so much (to find Mary's killer, to have a normal life) that neither really ends up getting.
