I did this mainly for myself, because I found myself every so often trying to remember who wrote and/or directed a certain episode of Supernatural. So I decided to put together a complete list for every season and post it in case any of you would find it useful, too.

First season is here outside the cut and the other four seasons are under the cut.

I pulled all of the info from TV.com, so if you notice there's an error, please let me know so I can correct the listing.

You know who I really miss as writers on SPN? Raelle Tucker and John Shiban.

Did Kim Manners direct Family Remains? I know it was planned that he would, but I thought that he was too ill.

First, you're very welcome for the list. :-) Second, I pulled all the info off of TV.com, so they could've made an error. I don't have my SPN DVDs with me at work or I'd gladly check. IMDB does list Phil Sgriccia as the director for that ep, but that site has made so many errors in the past that I don't trust them.

Per the Wiki it was indeed Phil - [livejournal.com profile] coltshot_1 is correct. The wiki pulls the info from the credits.

Hey Kim!! You're very welcome. I decided to do this when I kept thinking about Sera taking over next year, and I wanted to see all the eps she'd written, and how many of them I didn't like. :-)

Barb, can I ask how many you didn't like, and which ones they are?

And speaking of The Sentinel (we were, weren't we?), I wanted to remind you that Richard's ep of Law & Order, SVU is finally airing tonight. If it goes anywhing like his recent TV appearances, he probably won't live through the ep, but he sure will be pretty while he's there!

Thanks.

Barb, can I ask how many you didn't like, and which ones they are?

The ones I didn't like - Houses of the Holy, The Kids are Alright, Jus in Bello, Time is on my Side, I Know What You Did Last Summer, Good God Y'All.

But the several of the ones that I did like (Dead in the Water, Faith, Nightmare, Salvation) are kinda skewed because she wrote them with Raelle. And after Raelle left it became apparent (to me) that Raelle was the much stronger of the two writers and it was her influence in the storyline that I liked, and not Sera's.

Some of ones Sera wrote on her own I enjoyed - Crossroad Blues, AHBL pt.1, Are you there God and It's a Terrible Life. So she doesn't strike out all the time with me.

And speaking of The Sentinel (we were, weren't we?)

LOL! Of course we were! And yep, I've got my DVR set and ready to go tonight for SVU.

And did you hear? Richard is going to be at Moonridge this year! I've been wanting to go back for a long time now and I think this is finally the push I needed. Richard and Garett together again! Are you going to go?

Heh - I have compiled just such a list for myself as well, so I'm very glad to see I'm not the only one obsessed... er, organised enough to do that, LOL.
Except, sad person that I am, I created mine in Excel. So that I can easily filter by name and see which other episodes a person has worked on... I was halfway tempted to create an Access database for this, but common sense (or more likely my more than basic Access skills) prevailed.
Anyway, I do find this list quite useful and refer to it regularly.

Ooh, Excel! I never thought of that! [makes mental note to put list in there as well] That's an excellent idea, to be able to sort it by writer or director.

Who us, obsessed? Nah! ;-)

Eh, it's better that working, right? Right! Plus it looks like work, so people didn't even notice. Plus, you know, nerd.

Also, love that icon. I have a bit of a thing for hands. I've even turned other people on to looking at actor's (and musician's) hands, because I find them so freakin' hot.

LOL! I can't tell you how often that's worked for me, too!

I have a bit of a thing for hands.

I've certainly got a thing for Jensen's hands. I just love that scene in Hell House from my icon where he's drawing the BOC symbol. Guh.

I've never paid special attention to Chris Kane's hands, but now you've got me thinking about it. :-)

What's funny is, when John wrote for XFiles I couldn't stand him! He wrote some of the worst eps for that show. So I cringed when I found out he was going to be working on SPN. But wow, he must've liked the Winchesters more than Mulder and Scully, because he wrote good stuff for Sam and Dean!
