Supernatural - Beginning's End #2

I picked up the second issue of the Supernatural comic, Beginning's End, yesterday and was pretty disappointed. I was hoping the second issue would've been better than the first, but instead I was bored by it.

It's pretty much a stand-alone Sam issue, his adventures in the sewers of New York. It picks up right where the first issue ended, and at least Dean was concerned about Sam running off, but John seemed like he could care less.

Reading this comic I'm again reminded why I don't care for 90% of the SPN episodes that Dabb and Loflin have written.

Yeah, so far this series has really been a disappointment. :-( And I was looking forward to seeing exactly what led up to Sam leaving (even though it's not strictly canon per se). But so far it's just boring.

because they are boring? hahahaha I don´t know who they are, but if you said that it is boring, and loosk like that it is all about sam. looks like that, every episode of just sam is so pretty boring!

I don't find everything having to do with Sam boring, but this particular issue of the comic book didn't impress me, and it happened to be about Sam. It could've been Dean instead and I still would've found it boring.

Non related question: have you ever been to Escapade - the slash con in California? Just curious; it's happening next week and I honestly can't recall if I've seen you there in the past 20 years. Yeah, it's 20 years old this year.

You know, I've never been to Escapade. The only CA con I was ever at was BasCon about five years ago. It didn't impress me and I never went back.

How's Escapade? Something I should look into for next year?

For some reason SPN didn't make it to a scheduled panel this year and I'm hoping to get one going on the alt track. It really all depends on the votes and sometimes, people just don't.

Hey, thanks for the link! I went and browsed around the site and the con really does look interesting. Might be good for me to get out of cold, snowy Chicago next winter and head to sunny California for this. :-)

No Supernatural panel?? For shame! I hope you can get one started up yourself. If I can go next year I'll definitely be lobbying for one!

Me, too! I'm just really surprised that only the first issue used actual artwork for the cover and all the rest are going to be photos. I'd rather see artwork, personally. I've seen these pics a zillion times!
