Marc also had this to say: "...and Supernatural (Viewers: #5, 2.49 million; A18-49: #5, 1.0/ 3), which would be a good match with Smallville next season should the network care to beef up Friday. With The Vampire Diaries a success, my suggestion would be to try something new in the Thursday 9 p.m. time period next season."

I'm not against moving SPN to Fridays next season (because I'm sure it will be SPN's last and there's no harm in it) and I'd LOVE to see what CW thinks it can put on Thursdays that would pull even a fraction of SPN's numbers against that brutal competition. Good luck with that, Ostroff!

There hasn't been an official announcement yet, but the general consensus from the press is that it's a sure thing to return. Which totally makes sense, as SPN is consistently in the top three, ratings wise, for the CW. And Dawn Ostroff has already had a talk with Kripke. So I'm sure we'll be hearing very soon!

Wow, I am SO glad I'm not the only one not thrilled that Sera is taking over. I've disliked the majority of the eps she's written, and if that's her "vision" for next year (Sam crying and having random, meaningless sex and Dean being dumb as bag of rocks) then I highly doubt I'll be watching much next year. :-(
