Spooky is not a happy girl right now

I'll be back later this morning with the TVGuide.com watercooler review of Swap Meat, but I just needed to get this off my chest first.

I am SO PISSED OFF at Ausiello from Entertainment Weekly right now for absolutely lying to me in his column about the spoiler for this episode, about who was switching bodies with whom. When he originally posted the spoiler it was kinda vague, so I asked him to clarify and he did, making me a very happy girl back in November, since I'd been waiting for this kind of ep for five years.

But in the end it was NOTHING that he said it was going to be. So I wrote him this morning and asked him why his spoiler was completely and totally wrong. I'm hoping he man's up and admits he was wrong, and why he said what he did, and puts my letter in his next column. Because he's the last source I'd expect to get a spoiler for the entire episode wrong. I don't think I'll be trusting anything he says ever again.

He said that SAM AND DEAN would switch bodies not only with each other, but with various other characters in the episode. He was completely wrong!

I've been waiting for five years to see Jensen and Jared play each other's characters and what a laugh riot it would be, and instead we get Sam and some stupid teenager.

Yeah, not really happy this morning. :-(

Because after the various spoilers it didn't seem to go in that direction anymore. I'm so sorry you are disappointed but hey,the weekend is coming up and maybe you can go watch Sherlock Holmes again ?!?

Yeah, I was disappointed too, but I was half expecting to be. I did think of you once the ep was over. I remember how happy you were to get that spoiler back in November and I knew you wouldn't be a totally satisfied camper this morning. I kept holding out hope that although we didn't get a hint of Sam and Dean switching bodies in the preview that it would still happen. Yeah, that's the last time I trust anything Ausiello says!

He really should be a man and admit he was wrong and give a plausible explanation as to why, but I'm sure he doesn't want it getting out that he gives false information. :-/

I honestly have to say this was a weak episode. I know not every episode can be terrific,but I found this one substandard. I felt the writing was lacking,like maybe they started out with one plot line and switched midstream..
The first time Gary did something Sam wouldn't have Dean's radar would have been on overdrive.I mean backing the Impala into a dumpster,Dean would have gone nuts..
The kids were annoying.. AND BTW how do they explain the dead kid?? They just left him in the basement.

And you're right what's up with Ausiello, was he totally lied to by his 'spies',maybe they were fed the wrong info..
Unless because there may be a Season 6,they'll stick a body swap episode in there..

I couldn't agree with you more about Swap Meat. Sam knew it wasn't Dean in Skin in about 0.2 seconds flat, yet it takes Dean well over 24 hours?? Give me a break. And yes, the dead kid! Nice that they just left him in his parent's basement. What the??

I don't trust Asshat Ausiello at all, and haven't for a long time. He is openly patronizing of SPN fans in particular. Remember back in Jan, I was all excited that NPH was definitely going to be on GLEE, and then I realized that Asshat said it, and I thought oh shit, probably isn't even true- and turns out it wasn't true. He's a lying ass.

I didn't care for this episode all that much regardless (and that's unusual for me). I put in in there with Route 666, Bugs, and Red Sky At Morning. The script wasn't believeable, the comedy aspect was forced and out of place, and I thought JP's acting was below his usual standard. All around one of my least favorite eps in a long time.

Neither Ausiello nor Kristin are reliable sources for spoilers. They both take a grain of information, most of the time heresay, and turn it into a mountain.

When there's so much time between the spoiler and the actual episode, I think Ausiello tells people what he thinks they want to hear. He probably figures that by the time it does air, not many people will remember where they heard the untrue rumor, and the people who do remember won't bother to call him on it.

So it will be interesting to see what he says.

After I saw previews, I didn't think there would be any body switches except for the one between Sam and WannabeSatanicBoy, so that didn't bother me. The episode did give Jared a chance to play comedy, and it was funny in that respect.

I don't buy that a) Dean wouldn't have guessed it wasn't Sam after ten minutes, b) Dean wouldn't have missed his phone, c)Sam wouldn't have stolen a car and gone to the haunted house they were investigating, the hotel or even just gone driving around loooking for the Impala, and d)the "case" of the witch ended far too easily. There were too many things left dangling, like the dead kid (and the fact that his "friends" didn't seem to care about him), who the demon was (I thought it was Meg, which would have gone a long way towards redeeming the episode, but I guess it wasn't), and the whole issue of WHY there's a bounty out on Dean from Hell. Plus the fact that Sam's body had (most likely) unprotected sex with some cougar was rather disturbing. I'm sure the teenage fanboy writer who put that in was snickering, but the fact that Sam had no say in the matter is...skeevy.

Maybe because if he had said the true he could be kill. and you remember Sera, said that she couldn´t say with who was going to be the change,and then, that would be more ... could leading to you to think that, she can´t say with who because it is obviously that she is hiding something... well she wasn´t hiding a thing. just trying to make is think what you thought :S

Well if he couldn't have said the truth, then don't say anything at all. Don't make up lies. Just say that he didn't know, if the SPN people didn't want the info getting out. But to outright lie to the fans is just wrong.

Yes! I was hoping for that too (Sam and Dean switching bodies), then I saw the promo and I thought well maybe in the last part of the episode :(

I read the column of Ausiello in November, and yesterday I was upset too, I hope he answers you why he lied.
