Did anyone else have a problem recording Lucifer Rising?

It recorded okay to my DVR, but when I went to put it on DVD last night I got a "Copyright Protected, Cannot Record" error.

I am SO pissed. I've got the entire season recorded to DVD, and I get to the last episode and now it won't record?? ARGH!! And I can't figure out why I'm getting that message, either. I thought maybe it was because of the music, but every other episode with music recorded just fine.

So I'm appealing to you, my dear f-list. Does anyone have Lucifer Rising that they could record to DVD for me? My DVD players won't play .avi files, so I need a copy directly from the TV. I would gladly pay for the materials and postage.

Can anyone help me? Please? :-)

Lazarus Rising? Or Lucifer Rising?

Can you just watch the show on your computer? Because I have the .avi file up on my webspace if you want to dl it and watch it that way.

You're not crazy and it's not just you. I ran into the same problem with getting my ep through Amazon.com. Something changed this past week that makes the DRM system a lot more restrictive.

I have Lucifer Rising, problem is I only have one DVD recorder/player..
I can send it to you you record it then send it back..You'll have to FF through the other episodes,I don't know how to program the dvd to begin at the episode you need.

Also if you have Monster at the End of the Book,my recorder didn't do that one :(

Hey Barb! *waves* Just happened to see this. I don't know much about burning DVDs, but I'm pretty sure you can burn .avi files to a DVD that can play on any DVD player, you just have to find a program that converts the .avi to the right format before it burns it to the disk. I have ways to figure this out given the time - I don't have time at the moment, but I can look through stuff later to find the answer for you if you still need it! Just wanted to let you know that it's a possibility!

Hi! I can´t help you with that things, because I don´t live in the us. But a doubt came to my mind when you wrote down that your DVD players won´t play .avi files??? Really? how you record an episode? because my DVD player is so old and I can watch it on the DVD just I burned the episode in the Burner dvd of my lap, and that´s it. Because in that moment the files stop to being .avi

So, do you have still problems?

I don't have an answer for you except to say that if this is the way the eps continue to tape, I dodn't think you'll have to give up re-watching the eps on your tv. I think if you invest in a good .avi to DVD file converter program and download the avis, convert them and then put them on a DVD, that should work. Then you can still watch and re-watch on TV, and I would think, use the eps for vidding.
