So how was everyone's weekend?
Mine was quite relaxing, as my hubby was gone from Friday evening till Sunday evening. He was pet-sitting at my best buddy
charityflint's house, as she and her husband were gone for the weekend.
I caught up on a bunch of tv shows on my DVR and did some reading. I also went to see Taken with Liam Neeson. I nearly walked out when I saw that the ever horrible Katie Cassidy was in it, but thankfully I didn't have to put up with her for long. Heh. The movie itself was very good, and very fast paced, which I liked. And Liam? Good LORD but that man is SO DAMN SEXY when he's kicking ass, and that's pretty much what he does for the entire film. :-)
I also edited my J2 AU Playing with Fire story. I'm just waiting to get it back from my beta and it'll be ready to post! I'm hoping by the end of the week, but we'll see.
But the most EXCITING thing that I wanted to share with all of you is that the hubby and I signed lease papers on a house!
Here's what it looks like:

In the 15 years we've been married, we've lived in an apartment, a quad and a townhouse and we were SICK of multi-family housing, especially because of our psychotic neighbors, which is why we're moving in the first place. So yeah, our first single-family home! SQUEE! The best part is that it's only about five minutes from where I work. YESSSS!
Our lease starts April 15th, which is when we're going to get in there and start painting, then we'll officially move our furniture and everything in on April 30th. One of the cool things the house has is a bonus room off of the downstairs family room, which the hubby and I want to turn into a game room with an air hockey table and a dart board. :-)
And before I forget AGAIN - belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes to
frostian and
riveryklown. I hope you ladies had a fantastic day yesterday!!
Ok, gottta run. Have a good Monday, guys! If that's possible. :-)

Date: 2009-03-02 06:31 pm (UTC)And I am such a bad LJ person - I keep meaning to thank you for all of your lovely Sentinel posts. Though I've wandered away from TS fandom a bit, Jim and Blair will always be my first fandom loves and that will never change. :-)

LOL! I'm thinking the decorations on the wall will definitely be SPN-related!

Date: 2009-03-02 05:26 pm (UTC)I liked "Taken" a lot. And Liam is always hot, yum. The car chases made me motion sick though, because we got to the theater late and had to sit too close to the screen.
I was surprised that Maggie Grace could play so young. I mean, not like she's old or anything but she actually seemed 17ish, I thought.
I puzzled the whole movie on 'why did that blonde look so familiar'. I didn't even realize it was Katie until the credits.
My favorite line: "Stuart, this is not the time for dick measuring!"

I've never seen anyone wear Jedi robes sexier. ;-)

Geez, I was in the back and the car chase in the construction site was making my head spin!

It actually took me a minute to realize who she was, as the last time I saw her was a few years ago on Lost and she had blonde hair. When I did remember, I had the same reaction as you - she's playing a teenager?? Especially because she's really 26 years old!
I puzzled the whole movie on 'why did that blonde look so familiar'. I didn't even realize it was Katie until the credits.
I was truly SO annoyed when I recognized her at the airport scene. I wasn't sorry to see her fate. :-)
My favorite line: "Stuart, this is not the time for dick measuring!"
LOL! That was brilliant!

Date: 2009-03-03 02:40 pm (UTC)I had to just shut my eyes during both chases, lest I lose my popcorn.
It actually took me a minute to realize who she was
Me too. I saw her in the commercials and was like, hmm that girl looks familiar. But until I heard someone say her name, I had no idea it was 'Shannon' from Lost. I think she did a really good job of playing the character so young--in fact, I thought she even came off as a little younger than 17 but I think that was just the character's naivete.
My favorite Liam Neeson movie is Kingdom of Heaven. Liam + chain mail=WIN!

Date: 2009-03-03 01:55 am (UTC)I found the longer i'm married the more annoyed I get at the obnoxious things the renter beside me is doing, so the distance in being in a house is a lot better
God, YES. And our neighbors now are just...horrendous. And these townhouses are so horribly built that you can basically hear every single thing going on in their place, and with them having two small children who only scream at the top of their lungs day in and day out - yeah, it was time for a house for us. :-)
