I think Sam Winchester and the grim reaper are going to sit down for a friendly game of chess on Supernatural. (If anyone can beat Death, it's our Sammy.) Look for a Death match—or something like it—in an upcoming episode called "Death Takes a Holiday."

I've just had a chance to read the script sides for this episode and I'll be back with more on that tomorrow, but SQUEE for two characters that are gonna be in this one!

God this sounds bad. Especially when combined with the sides. So Dean needs to be rescued again? And of course only Sam can do anything worthwhile. I am so sick of Dean being useless. Right now it appears the only reason Dean was brought back from Hell was to play Damsel in Distress to Do It All By Himself Sam.

Honestly at this point I wish they'd left Dean dead. At least then I could have given up watching the show. Far better dead than watching them strip of him all his abilities and bad assness. Seriously why bring him back- it clearly wasn't his brains, he needs to explain everything to him and has apparently completely lost his ability for leadership and clever planning. It wasn't his physical prowess, he does nothing but get his ass kicked. Was he only brought back to give yellow crayon speeches?

Wait, I'm confused. Why do you think Dean needs to be rescued? Both he AND Sam are spirits in this episode. They BOTH need to be rescued and Dean's no shrinking violet in these sides. He's kicking demon ass and getting right up in Alastair's face. He's no damsel in distress and Sam isn't charging in to save him. Why did you get that impression from the sides? It's actually Pamela that appears to be the one that's going to save them both. And I loved Dean's scenes with Cole, he's always been great with children. I really had no problem at all with how Dean's character is in these sides.

Tessa was fantastic! I'm still waiting to hear if the same actress will be playing her this year and I've got my fingers crossed that she is. :-)
