Hey all, I just read the sides for SPN episode 4x13...
Ok, so the name of the episode is Afterschool Special, and this is the flashback episode to when Sam and Dean were in high school. The sides are for Young Dean and there were five pages.
Sam is 14 and Dean is 18 and they're described as:
Sam: short, scrawny, oversized backpack and Dean: leather jacket, t-shirt, jeans, a younger version of Jensen.
It appears to be their first day at a new school in 1997, the third school they've had that year and it's only November and Sam is tired of being the new kid and tells Dean this (after Dean asks if he's got his lunch, books and butterfly knife *g*).
Dean says he'll be fine and if anyone gives him trouble to let Dean know and that they're only here for two weeks while John is off hunting. This doesn't make Sam feel any better, as it'll be yet another new school after that.
Then there's a scene with Dean in a supply closet making out with a girl named Amanda. He wants to take her to a movie that night, at midnight, called I Spit on Your Grave. *g* But she says she can't because her curfew is at 11. Dean says he doesn't have a curfew and she's like, your parents let you stay out all night? Dean says that his dad is gone for two weeks and that he's got a "sweet setup" at the Pines motel with HBO, Magic Fingers and free ice.
Amanda is getting uneasy with what Dean's saying and he gets defensive, saying he can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants, it's perfect. She asks if he misses his dad, though, and Dean is taken aback and frowns, troubled, but before he can answer the bell rings.
Cut to another scene of young Sam and Dean in a set of bleachers. Sam has been beat up and there's a butterfly bandage over one eye. Dean is furious, saying the kid that did this to Sam is dead, he's going to rip his lungs out. But Sam doesn't want that, wants Dean to let it go, that it's not a big deal. But Dean's having none of it until Sam yells at him to just shut up. He tells Dean he doesn't need his help and Dean agrees, saying Sam could've easily defended himself and torn the other kid apart and wants to know why he didn't.
Sam says it's because for once he doesn't want to be the freak, he wants to be normal. Dean asks if taking a beating is normal, and Sam has no answer for him and instead changes the subject, wants to know if Dean's heard from Dad.
Dean says Dad will be another week at least and Dean doesn't like it, they weren't supposed to be here that long. Sam says that at least he has Amanda and Dean acts all anxious, telling Sam that Amanda wants Dean to meet her parents, and he just doesn't do parents.
And that's where the pages end!
i'm really looking forward to this one. I've wanted a teenage flashback episode for forever and we're finally getting it. :-)
What about you guys? Interested in this one?
