It figures. About five minutes after I logged off and went to bed last night, BuddyTV posted a new video interview with Jared. :-)

No spoilers in this one, so everyone can watch!

Everyone's been clamoring for some Jared-love, so finally, here it is.

I know that many, many of you submitted fan questions to ask the boys. Supernatural fans are among the smartest people I've met online, and the quality of all of your questions was really great. I'm really sorry to say, however, that we didn't have time to ask all of your questions. As you know, Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles appear in virtually every single scene of every single episode of Supernatural, which means that most of their time on set is spent working. So when BuddyTV went up to the set of Supernatural, we were able to ask Jared only two fan questions.

 

Now, personally, I love both Supernatural boys and I couldn't possibly choose between the two. But, if someone were pointing the Colt at my head, I think I would have to pick Jared. I mean absolutely no disrespect to Jensen and Jensen fans out there, I swear. Seriously, Jensen is not only super attractive, as anyone who watches the show can attest, but when I met him on the Supernatural set, I also found Jensen to be super charming and friendly and funny as well.

But let me make the case for Mr. Padalecki. I remember distinctly that he was the reason why I tuned in that fateful Tuesday night in September of 2005. He first caught my attention as Dean Forrester on Gilmore Girls, the sweet, considerate and hunky high school sweetheart of Rory Gilmore. Since I identified to an extraordinary degree with the character of Rory, Jared Padalecki will always be a kind of “first boyfriend” to me, and you never forget your first.

Jared Padalecki is also a really talented actor. I've watched him grow into his role over the years, and I'm always impressed with the performances he puts out week after week. I think it certainly helps that the character of Sam Winchester is written so well. Sam is so complex, and Jared can evoke so much emotion in just the slightest change in his facial expression. Particularly as the last season progressed, I was so impressed with how Jared could portray exactly how torn up Sam was about Dean's deal with Crossroads demon that eventually sent Dean to Hell.

I promise that we'll have second interview of Jared up soon, so just sit tight and enjoy this short one for now. One thing to notice: during Jared's answer to the second question, it's Jensen who pipes in at the very end with his two cents. Please change your YouTube settings to “high quality” for a better viewing experience.

 

So Jensen does say Dumb and Dumber, right? :-)

Yes! I've so seen the end going down something like the end of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid! Jared, I love you!

(And the baby thing? There's just something about a big guy holding a tiny baby that's really hot. And this proves it's not just me who thinks so.)

Oh, I so don't want it to end like that! Going out in a blaze of glory sounds totally noble and heroic, but it would sadden me to no end to know that the evil in the world, that the Winchesters had battled all their lives, had won. I want Sam and Dean riding off into the sunset together in the Impala, out there saving lives for a long, long time. :-)

And the baby thing? There's just something about a big guy holding a tiny baby that's really hot.

It's totally hot! I truly don't know of a woman who doesn't drool over a guy holding a little baby. :-)

I kinda love that Jared has watched Grizzly Man and also thinks that guy was crazy.

I definitely love his story about walking around with his baby niece! How adorable is that? She's 2 1/2 months old, he can probably hold her in one Padapaw! And his self-deprecating "Yeah I thought I was cool and hot" *LOL*

And finally - OMG I LOVE Butch and Sundance! My first slashy buddy movie, before I even knew what a slashy buddy movie was!

I wish the end would be EXACTLY like Butch and Sundance though, freeze frame and silence, so you are pretty positive, but you don't know absolutely for SURE that they bit it! And, being Winchesters, even if they did, you don't know that they wouldn't be brought back!

The only possible way I could handle death ending would be if both boys were good and I knew they were going to heaven and there would be MnM's and burgers for Dean and wireless for Sam and they would live happily in eternity. If they leave the option of one of them going to hell? I'd salt and burn Kripke. I love him, but I would.

I downloaded the free FLV player on there as well, although if you download the high quality one when keepvid gives you the pop up to save, it will play in VLC Media player. The low quality ones play in FLV player.

As for them both biting it at the end, as dramatic as that sounds to the writers and even the audience, I'm afraid I will have to add my vote to - OH GOD, PLEASE NO! My reasoning and yes, I am weak, is that future viewings and even reading of fanfic, would forever be tainted for me because I knew they both died at the end of everything. It takes all the meaning out of their previous near death and DEATH and resurrection scenes. How gut wrenching would be the scene in AHBL when Sam dies in Dean's arms if we knew that in a few years, they both would be dead anyway and it would be for REAL? Ack. Not for me. I don't care how corny or undramatic it is, I want them to save the world and then go riding off into the sunset in the Impala after saying, 'we have work to do' of all the other supernatural stuff that still roams the earth. That's my wish and I am sticking to it!
