So over at wendy's LJ, she's asking everyone to post their favorite J2 photo, so that we can all scroll through LJ and see it wallpapered in Jared and Jensen today.

That's got to be my favorite photo of the two of them. I mean, SPN had just gotten started when this was taken and you can already see that close friendship between them.

I love Jensen's expression, like, "Yeah, this is my boy Jared." and Jared's all, "Dude, me and you - we're gonna be awesome together."

Here's my favorite and there's a bit of a story behind it. This particular pose from this event was ONLY ever seen in TV Guide and I have tried and tried to find a better quality than just this scan. I haven't succeeded ;-( There are many others from that WB event in 2005 or 2006, but not this particular pose. I love it because of Jensen's expression and the way his hand is over Jared's heart. He seems to be saying, 'This here is mine!'. ;-) And also he is looking off to the side, almost like he is looking at the crowd and declaring it, lol.

Oh wow, I don't think I've ever seen that particular picture! Not with Jensen's expression like that. I've seen all the other ones from that event that you mentioned, but never this one. Very intriguing! I can't believe there's not a clear, high quality scan of that floating around somewhere. Now you're gonna have me on the hunt, too! Because, yeah, Jensen is totally saying, "He's mine!"

I'm so glad you like that one! And yes, my friend and I have been searching for a high quality version of that shot for about 3 years now, lol. It was in the TV Guide ages ago - first season.
The scan I have isn't bad, but it's still a bit grainy. I just love that pose ;-)
Plus we get some Jared tongue action, lol.

Barb, what a great idea!

There are so many pictures of J&J that I love, but I think this one is my favorite. It, too, is from very early in their friendship as it was taken during the filming of Hookman. I just love it. Even though it is more of a private picture (I mean, it's not from a public event), you can just tell that they like each other - the smiles are beautiful and real. And Jared with his dimples and Jensen with all the laugh lines - so wonderful! I love this whole series of pictures (see my icon), but this is the best.



Besides your picture, which I also love, my favorite picture from a public event is this one, for obvious reasons! It was taken at the Paley event, which I think was in March 2006, so again, less than a year since they met and yet such a picture of joy.



I've never embedded a picture in a comment before - I hope I did it right. I tried to shrink the pictures but I don't think it worked!

I didn't know either! I uploaded my pictures to photobucket. It had an option for sharing your picture and gave you numerous links depending on where you wanted to post it. The LJ help page said that to include pictures in a comment you needed to post it in html - that was one of the options at photobucket so I copied that link and pasted it in my comment and it magically pulled the picture in.

I saved your picture (which I absolutely love, by the way) and uploaded it to photobucket. It gave the picture an html link. Go here:

copy the html link under your picture, and try copying that link into your comment.

It must be because it's Photobucket and that is one of the features of it. I use Village Photos, so it must not be compatible with lj. I do the same thing in Village Photos - upload my pics and copy the urls, etc., to use on boards and such. It works anywhere where there is an 'Insert Image' option, but in my lj reply boxes, there is nothing like that.
Strange.
I did a preview and it works! Except like you said, the pic is a bit huge, lol. Sorry, I can delete this entry a bit later if you want ;-)

Hey Deborah! Sorry it's taken me a few days to get back to you, but I had to applaud you on your excellent choices of your favorite J2 pics. [sigh] Those boys just don't take a bad photo together, do they? :-)

The way Jensen's looking at Jared in the top photo just makes me melt! And Jared's smile in the bottom one is simply fantastic. I mean, they'd just seen each other shortly before the Paley event, but Jared's hugging Jensen like he hadn't seen him in a month. :-)

Yes, exactly! I mean, talk about an instant friendship. That doesn't happen everyday, and we are darn lucky as a fandom that it did. :-)
