Who is that man under the mask?

TGIF, people! Woot!
And boy is it a good Friday. Not only because well...it's Friday *g* but because we got our quarterly bonus checks at work this morning and my wallet is now $600 heavier. Sweet! I'm going to Californian, to Yosemite, in August, so this is now my traveling money. :-)
And then it's a good Friday 'cause my best buddy,
charityflint, is coming over tonight to hang out. We've got some stuff to do for the upcoming
winchestmidwest con next weekend, but then we're gonna go to dinner and yak and yak and probably watch some pretty boys on TV (I'm hoping SPN, Sentinel and another Houston Knights episode). I've got something really cool to show her, but I can't say it here, 'cause something tells me she'll be on LJ today and wander over here. :-)
So I'm still making my way through all four seasons of Enterprise, and I'm currently about halfway through season three. I just watched the episode "Carpenter Street" and nearly fell off the couch at the beginning, when the guest star names appeared on the screen.
Who did i see? JEFFREY DEAN MORGAN!
Of course I didn't even know who he was back then, and even if I did I wouldn't have recognized him by his appearance. And why is that? Because he was playing an ugly reptilian Xindi! You didn't even see all of him until the very end of the episode. He didn't want the human he was dealing with to know he was an alien, so he stood in the shadows and all you saw were his legs. But man, there was no denying who it was with that damn sexy deep voice. :-)
At the very end of the episode they showed him fully, with that ugly prostetic mask on and he only uttered one or two more lines before he was shot dead by Archer. Awww, poor Jeffrey!
So far that makes two SPN folks I've seen on Enterprise - Jim Beaver and now Jeff. I wonder who else might pop up!

Date: 2008-06-21 01:36 am (UTC)Hmmmm, JDM, and Jim on Enterprise, makes me wonder, what if, instead of the Marines, John had been in Starfleet? And there are these evil things, which are presenting themselves as aliens but John and Bobby and the boys know that they are in fact spirits and what they need to do is go to their home planet and salt and burn their bones. But they don't have permission to go to the planet, which would be an act of war, so they need to steal a Starship, and there just happens to be this Enterprise ship . . . hmmm.
And John had brought them up in some vagabond existence, in a great old ship, "The Impala", like Han Solo and the Millenium Falcon.
And maybe Sam ran away to join Starfleet? Starfleet JAG? Or the Science Academy? The VULCAN Science Academy?
Well, obviously this hasn't been all thought out yet, and I don't know enough about Enterprise to write it, but you and Charity need a Summer project, yes? *evil cackles*

Date: 2008-06-21 05:48 am (UTC)So Jeff died on another TV show? The poor guy can't catch a break on TV, can he?
Did you read/see what Jared said about Jeff at the Dallas con in response to a question about whether he had seen P.S. I Love You and whether he had cried when he saw it? If not, you can see a vid of it here:

He's so adorable I can barely stand it.
Have a great weekend, Barb!

Squee! He talked about Jeff's butt! LOL! Dear god, that was hysterical! And then him sending Jeff a text message ending with "P.S. I love you". What a ginormous dork. Ha!
Another weekend, another Jared con . . .
