Description for SPN ep 3x15
Apr. 21st, 2008 08:54 pmMy friend
sen1995 gave me the heads up on this, from FutonCritic:
THURSDAY, MAY 8 "SUPERNATURAL" (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET)
"Time Is On My Side" (CONTENT RATING TBD) (HDTV) SAM AND DEAN MEET DOC BENTON; BELA'S FATE IS REVEALED
As time runs out for Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki) convinces him to head to Eerie, Pennsylvania to investigate a possible zombie case. Instead, they discover Doc Benton (guest star Billy Drago), a real-life doctor who, in 1816, abandoned his medical practice to follow his obsession with finding the key to eternal life by drugging people and stealing their vital organs. Meanwhile, Bobby (Jim Beaver) finds out where Bela (Lauren Cohan) is hiding, and Dean heads out to confront her, leaving Sam behind to deal with the good doctor. Dean and Bela battle it out for the last time, and Dean leaves Bela in a desperate, and possibly fatal, position. Charles Beeson directed the episode written by Sera Gamble (#315).

Like I said to my friend, oh please, oh PLEASE don't let this just be hype and something blown out of proportion, the stuff with Bela. Kinda like when you see previews for an episode and it's been edited together out of sequence so what you think's gonna happen doesn't. We need to be done with this useless character! Though it worries me because it says Dean leaves her - meaning we probably won't find out what happens to her and she'll suddenly appear again next season. [groan] And with Bela's champion, Sera Gamble, writing this episode, I wouldn't doubt it.
I just want ONE of these bimbos gone so that I can at least enjoy half of next season, instead of less than a handful this year.
So I'm hoping for the best and that we'll soon be seeing the last of Bela.

Date: 2008-04-22 02:15 am (UTC)actually, quite the opposite. nothing is set in stone but kripke said at the LA con that the bela thing is gonna end in a cliffhanger, whereas they don't for sure show her dying. but kripke said at the con that he knows he may be the only one who likes bela, but basically, if they don't bring her back, which is a viable option they're thinking of, they have an ending for her.

Date: 2008-04-22 02:32 am (UTC)This needs to be our mantra and we must repeat it EVERY SINGLE DAY until May 8th and then it will come true. :-)
Seriously, I do not see how they could think that she is a good character.
Ask Sera! She seems to think Bela's the cat's ass. [shakes head]

Date: 2008-04-22 05:32 pm (UTC)I think that its the idea of what Bela was supposed to be is what they're in love with
I have to agree. They wanted this character to be something that they ended up not being able to pull off.
By the way, thanks for uploading that vid of Jared being one of TV's sexiest people, it was way hot.
Totally my pleasure! I swear one of that man's arms is bigger than my entire body! LOL!

Date: 2008-04-22 02:42 am (UTC)Well, one saving grace we have is that if there is anything that Sera loves more than Bela it's gore and killing off characters. She wrote Nightmare (with RT), where she killed Max Miller, Salvation (with RT), where she killed Caleb and Jim Murphy, she wrote Fresh Blood, where she killed Gordon, she wrote AHBL Pt1, where she killed Ash, Andy, and Ava, and she wrote Jus in Bello, where she killed Hendricksen. I can only hope she will add one more notch to her headboard with Time is On My Side.

Date: 2008-04-22 05:54 pm (UTC)Oh, GREAT point, Deborah! Man, she really has racked up the body count, hasn't she? Here's hoping she can also pull the trigger on her favorite, Bela, and rid us of her forever!

Date: 2008-04-22 03:04 am (UTC)I saw a Jared interview and he said something about Sam not wanting to hunt anymore until he found a way to save Dean.
I like Sera Gamble's writing so maybe we'll have some goodness.

Date: 2008-04-22 05:48 pm (UTC)I'd rather they both be gone, but she does seem the lesser of two evils, eh? And as long as one of them is gone I'll at least be able to watch more eps than I did this year!
Dean's only got so much time left and Sam wants to work a case. HUH?
I think it's got something to do with that doctor and eternal life. Maybe Sam's thinking he can get an idea on how to save Dean with what this guy knows?
