Remember the "4th string actor" guy?

agt_spookyCheck out his next post today at his blog (http://www.jessestmars.com/2008/03/22/hate-mail/) with a kinda-sorta apology:
There’s a first time for everything. Over the past few days, I’ve had over 500 views/comments/hate mail toward my Van post where I belittled the actors Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki. Apparently, my off topic “4th string actors” rant did not bode well with many readers.
In all fairness to the actors, I did speak somewhat out of ignorance based on my limited perspective of the shows. My comments were ultimately derived from shows that I’m not a fan of and then filtered to the actors. Perhaps for my ignorant slip, I should punish/reward myself by watching a full episode of both Supernatural and Gilmore Girls.
To add more hypocritical fuel to the fire, I will admit to being a Smallville fan. Every year I do the 2-day Smallville marathon when the full season dvd’s are released. Smallville is the only show I watch on the CW television network (also hosts Supernatural and Gilmore Girls). Jensen played a character (Jason Teague) in Season 4 of Smallville - and he wasn’t all that bad.
Anyway, I now understand how all these gossip and slandering blogs/magazines/etc. do so well. However, that’s not the direction I want for this blog. This leads me to my next lesson learned that ignorant writing drives traffic -> Perez Hilton a 4th string human being represents this case and point.
So...any thoughts on his newest post?

Anyway, I am impressed/surprised/amazed that he not only acknowledged everyone's comments, but that he placed the blame on himself instead of on us fans for being sensitive/protective of our boys.
His writing style still bugs me though

I have absolutely no idea about that one! He's really stuck on that, though, with Jared.

I'm assuming the difference between comments and hate mail would be that hate mail is e-mail. But I kinda doubt that he got any actual hate e-mail because, though he does have TWO email addresses listed, you have to go to his About Me page to find them, and they're in the written form so that you cannot just click on them to send an email. That's more work that I would think people would want to go to when they can just leave a comment. And how many people went to the trouble to actually leave a comment? Seven. That's it. Seven whole comments. BUT to him this is an absolute windfall of attention because the number of comments received for the three posts preceding the Van post? ZERO! Number of comments for the post before that? One. Why? Because it was about Barack Obama. No comments for the six posts preceding that which was as far as I went.
Maybe he is sorry he wrote that about J2. But all he really says in apology is "Oh, hey sorry, I figured since their shows, which I don't watch, suck, they must suck too. My bad. Oh hey I did see Jensen once on my show, and he didn't completely suck. Anyway, my little experiment in arrogance got me a lot of attention, so now I'll slander Paris Hilton again, because that got me a lot of attention last time, but I'll spell it 'Perez' so only the really hardcore fans who know to set their Google alerts to that will find me."
He STILL doesn't say how he even knew WHO Jared and Jensen were, right down to the correct spellings of their names, or why he took the time to link their names to their TV.com pages in his post, when he doesn't even watch their shows.
He sucks. Pleh.

He TOTALLY over exaggerated that. You should've seen my face when I read that 500 remark. My jaw totally dropped and I went back to his original post and it had (at the time) SEVEN responses to it. (last time I checked it had 11) I was like, who does he think he's fooling with this 500 nonsense?
