My google alert went off this morning and this was the snippet I saw:

Intrigued, I clicked on the link (http://www.jessestmars.com/2008/03/18/van/)  to read the entire entry, about this person's visit to Vancouver yesterday.

Here's the relevant bit:

I also checked out the new Joey’s location on Burrard, where I sat at a table right beside Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki These guys are both actors from Supernatural and Gilmore Girls. I’ve never watched these shows but I did recognize Jensen from Smallville and Supernatural commercials. I don’t know why I’ve even bothered to write about these 4th string actors.

As I was reading I was like, that's so awesome! I love hearing about Jensen and Jared hanging out together and then I was like, wow, you lucky person, you, getting to sit right next to them!  And then I really got pissed at the last line. So yeah, if you think that about Jensen and Jared, why DID you bother to even say anything??

That's really not the way I wanted to start off this morning. :-(

Considering she's never watched any of the shows, it's kind of suspect how she knew Jared's full name. It took me several weeks of watching non-stop SPN eps to be able to say/remember/know his name. *rolls eyes* What an idiot.

I checked out the site ('cause I'm nosy like that *g*) and it's by a guy. So you can't really expect him get all fangirly over seeing two hunky actors in a restaurant/bar/whatever.

The part about Jensen & Jared is just one paragraph of several where he talks about being there in Vancouver. I wouldn't take this guy's comments too seriously. ;)

Well, I've noted that there's some guys who are generally intimidated by Jared & Jensen. And that's just with seeing them on the TV and not having seen them in person.

Hearing them being called "4th string actors" stings, but we can't expect everyone to love the guys like we all do. ;)

Aww, damn, it's a dude, and I had a whole table-cleaning-napkin-with-her-number theory going on (but hey, maybe he's gay and it still stands)
But the main point is actually, he claims never to have seen any of their shows, but still knows what kind of actors they are... people like that should be ignored. And not just in this but in a lot of other areas of life, but yeah, I'm not gonna get into the whole "I'm not discussing religion with you until you read both the bible and Qur'an" tangent (much), but people like that generally freak me out, so just ignore any *opinion* he gives.

Thinks they're fourth string actors my ass! Can you spell J-E-A-L-O-U-S? Here's another little tidbit, he went to thet restaurant with "a new friend". No name for the friend, but names for the 'fourth string actors'? Could that be, maybe, because you were on a date and your 'new friend' went batshit crazy because he or she was at a table next to Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki and probably couldn't stop talking about them the rest of the evening? And you realized that you really just didn't measure up? Well then by all means make sure you mention them in your blog post, so they can be your "selling point" for the next 24 hours (see his About Me page) and direct lots of people to your blog! Wow, this guy sure has a big heaping helping of ego, does he not? He has his OWN web URL, which he uses to write a blog about literally nothig but what he does day to day, because apparently his Facebook isn't enough Jesse St. James for the world, pic of self on the About Me Page (OF COURSE!) in which he is doing some kind of almost squat thing, or perhaps his thighs were about to fly off, not sure which. I can't tell you how that makes me go "squee!". I just love it to death that these guys are such close friends that even after spending 14 hours a day on set they still hang out together on their limited time off. [sigh] Love them both!

Huh. No idea who this guy is, but my guess is that he's about 5'6", a little out of shape, and the girls (or boys) sitting with him at his table were squeeing madly about sitting next to Jensen and Jared.

It's probably either intimidation or jealousy. Because he certainly recognized them...or if he didn't, someone with him did.
