Ok, raise your hand if you think Jared got Jensen totally wasted on his birthday yesterday, then proceeded to videotape him doing drunken karaoke. Heh.  :-)

Many thanks to all of you who answered my Jensen poll yesterday. Wow, I guess all of you think Jensen and Jared just sizzle on the screen! But really, was that ever in doubt?  :-)

And you ALL win for your great answers to what Jared gave Jensen for his birthday. Gold stars to the slash fic answers and especially the naughty ones. LOL!

So how funny was it that I mention Devour as one of the poll questions and then it's shown on TV last night! Bizarre!

Speaking of Devour, it's time for all of you who answered that you knew exactly what that ending was supposed to mean to come clean, 'cause I'm one of those who's watched it six times and still can't figure it out!  My buddy dairwendan has already given me her explanation and I'm lookin' to see if hers matches what any of YOU think.

To those of you who have seen Jensen in Ten Inch Hero - my jealousy knows no limits. *g*

"Jus In Bello" and "Devour" weirdness...

Ohh, "JIB" was sweet. Not only was it a ratings monster(for SPN, yahoo!)but it had our boys in chains and back behind bars. Sweet! But hubby's gonna have to do some editing to get rid of Barby-poo. She did have some good lines, but oh, what Nikki could have done with 'em.

Still, it was a nice, tight story, and we got Dean back the way we love him--sexy, snarky and,like with "MS," without a loss of brain cells. That, unfortunately, is what I'm going to most remember about season 3--it was The Season Dean Got Dumbed Down. And that Kripke seems to have allowed/encouraged it is inconceivable. (PLEASE, K, watch seasons one and two again!)

But there were plenty of moments--loved the little two-step the guys had to do to sit down. Nice to see Peter DeLuise--I almost didn't recognize him. And Sam spoke Latin again, sigh. And Dean got shot in the shoulder. Again. Double sigh.

I did like Nancy--interesting that she and Ruby were willing to die, even though I don't trust Ruby's motives (no, I detest the character, but I still don't believe she's a good guy, or formerly human, for that matter). Because Nancy wore a cross and carried a rosary, she was obviously very devout. Dean was so adorable, with his "you're kidding, you're kinda hot, you CAN'T be a virgin"...can't wait for all the AU fics where he takes care of that little problem for her!

The one thing in the ep that should not have happened was Hendrickson's death. That scene with him and Dean arming up was brilliant. He was a great adversary and would have been a great ally; I was so grateful that he didn't spend 20 minutes going "Oh hell no, I wasn't possessed, you're crazy..." He was like Dean, quickly understanding the situation and then doing what's got to be done. I really liked how Dean is disturbed that Sam seems to be okay with sacrificing Nancy; he doesn't jump up and stick a knife in her, but he doesn't protest, either.

I did like the bittersweet ending, even with Ruby, where the guys realize that their way was not the best, that this is a war and there's going to be collateral damage. (She sure didn't sound like a former human there...) All in all, a good ep, not truly great, because of you-know.

Watching the end of "Devour" is like getting smacked in the head with an athletic sock stuffed with building blocks. The Devil is a hermaphrodite who gave birth to a hybrid baby who grew up to be Jensen?? Maybe?? I have no freakin' idea. I could watch that ending TWELVE times and not get it. I just go back to the chair sex and Jake visiting his mom and cutting his tongue and, ok, kissing and then stabbing his mom/girlfriend and...hell, just keep hitting rewind.

Hey! Man, so sorry that it took me so long to answer back.

Thanks for the great review of Jus in Bello! I still haven't watched it yet, trying to decide if I should just go for it and fast forward through the Ruby bits or not. Because the rest of it sounds really good and I want to see Henriksen again. Why am I not surprised that he died? Sera wrote this ep, didn't she? I am SO sick of her killing off all of the decent characters that we like!

I don't think I can put off seeing the TATTOOS much longer, though. :-)

And yeah, Devour? I'm glad you're as lost as I am! LOL! But you're right - who cares as long as we can watch Jensen having chair sex over and over? ;-)
