"First motel in the phone book, under Jim Rockford"

So today's obviously the day for me to be amused. Which is good, considering it's Monday. :-)

First there was Jensen and his impression of Tom Welling on the Aussie TV interview (LOL!) and now it seems as though the ghost in our warehouse has decided to be my companion in the morning when I'm on the treadmill. :-) I kid you not, this has happened twice now. I'm on the one treadmill and suddenly the screen on the one next to me lights up and turns on, all by itself, then shuts itself off a few minutes later. It scared the crap outta me the first time it happened, but now I think Fred (which I've decided to name the ghost) is just saying hello and good morning. :-)

Then there's the other thing that completely amused me. I was watching The Usual Suspects last night, which I've seen about a zillion times, when I suddenly notice something for the very first time. When Dean tells Diana to go find Sam he says to look for the first motel in the phone book and ask for Jim Rockford.

We then cut to a shot that pans across a table to Sam's computer and then Sam. Well for the very first time I noticed the things sitting ON the table:



ROTFL! The Aardvark Motel?? I swear I laughed my butt off at that. Yep, that'd definitely be the first motel in the phone book! Man, I don't know why I never saw that before, but it amused me greatly. :-)

Barb, I just rewatched The Usual Suspects over the weekend (I really love it) but didn't notice that Sam was staying in The Aardvark Motel! What a hoot! Thank you for noticing this!

To show you how I miss stuff, I read someone's review of Mystery Spot today (and I've probably watched MS about 10 times already) and she mentioned two things I failed to notice: one, that the scene where Sam *kills* Bobby and then confronts the Trickster is set back at The Mystery Spot, which I completely failed to see; and two, in the scene where Scary Sam is eating a meal alone in his motel room, it appears that he has purchased a second meal for Dean. Now maybe he just ordered an extra meal for himself to eat later, but Sam has never been a big eater and it just makes him seem a little more . . . lost without Dean that he would set a spot for his dead brother. I just want to hug him!

I did notice that they were back in the Mystery Spot, but never saw that there was another meal sitting there with Sam. God, that makes it even more heartwrenching! And did you see where someone posted a screencap of Sam, right before he cuts open his shirt, and you can see what looks to be the outline of Dean's amulet under Sam's shirt. Another thing to make me cry! I only wish it had been outside Sam's shirt, so it was even more obvious, because I can so easily see Sam wearing it.

That episode about killed me!
