Well look at that! Back on top of the ratings pile for the third time this summer! Way to go, Supernatural!

I all but SKIPPED for joy when I saw we beat Smallville again! (*trying very unsuccessfully to contain my SQUEE*) I'm trying not to get my hopes up that the same will happen this coming season (outrating the lead-in is next to impossible on The CW, given that that 9pm shows are generally in much more difficult timeslotes), but ... damn, it'd be awesome wouldn't it?

*is hopeful* :) Things bode well - the nice summer ratings we've seen lead me to believe SPN's had some new viewers catching up on the show (and I've talked to a good number of people who've been doing just that)!

You know, if things stay roughly the same through the repeat of the finale, we could have repeat ratings for the finale within like half a million of what the original airing scored? Weird to think about ... (I like to think the finale ratings were just an anomaly - we were up against, what, 3 other finales at the same time? thank god The CW is letting SPN avoid their premieres next month ...)

I've actually been thinking the same thing and it's been good that for the most part, CW has been showing them in order, which always helps when new viewers aren't completely confused as to what's going on.

(I like to think the finale ratings were just an anomaly - we were up against, what, 3 other finales at the same time?

PLEASE let that have been an anomaly because otherwise it's too depressing to think about again, you know? AHBL rocked and the ratings were so dismal!
