The weekend wrap-up

Ugh. I thought weekends were for relaxing! I’m apparently doing something wrong.

Geez, I was busy. On Saturday, John and I went out in search of a new couch and chair for our living room. Surprisingly enough, we found exactly what we were looking for at our first store! Kudos to the great customer experience at Bob’s Discount Furniture. Extremely helpful and friendly salespeople and manager, painless buying/delivery process AND they have FREE coffee, tea, water, candy, cookies and ice cream! I kid you not. They have a cafe in the back of the store! LOL!

Here’s what we ended up with. I’ve always wanted a couch with a chaise lounge (perfect for reading!) and John hated the recliners we had, so now he has just a regular chair (and a nice storage ottoman). Oh! AND you get the pillows, too!

After furniture shopping we went to my comic book store, out to lunch at Smashburger, grocery shopping and I got my hair cut. And we did all of this in the freaking pouring rain that never stopped all day on Saturday. Ugh.

Sunday was just as busy. Two loads of laundry, dusting/vacuuming, balancing the checkbook, grocery shopping again at a second store to get everything we couldn’t find at the first one (grrr….), taking photos of our current couches to sell or donate and dinner out at Panera. Sheesh! Somehow I actually found the time to read half of a novel for research for my next ebook.

And it was Rosh Hashanah on top of everything! Happy New Year to all who celebrate with John and I. :-)

Now it’s Monday and I’m exhausted and want a do-over! How was YOUR weekend?
