For those of you, like me, who downloaded the first episode of the Supernatural anime yesterday and were bummed that we don't get to hear Jensen's voice, here's a small consolation - this is the English dubbed version of the trailer for the upcoming video game The 3rd Birthday, in which Jensen voices the character of Kyle...

Supernatural anime - The Alter Ego
Feb. 25th, 2011 10:06 amIt took me forever to download both parts of the first episode of the Supernatural anime last night, so I didn't get a chance to watch it until this morning.
I think that Andrew guy is doing a pretty okay job of dubbing Dean's voice. It will never compare to Jensen's, but there were many times that he sounded really close. But it was just so jarring to hear Jared's voice as Sam and then not hear Jensen's voice in reply, you know? I truly wish we knew Jensen's decision to only do the voice work on two of the anime episodes.
Still not a big fan of the way Dean is drawn but I thought the episode in general was really well done. Especially the Impala! LOL!
It was strange watching an episode that was based on Skin, but then diverged in many, many ways. I think I'm going to enjoy the truly original episodes of the anime more than these kind, because I kept going, "But wait, that's not what really happened!". I had thought they were going to be a straight retelling of the SPN episodes more than a "Inspired by" kinda thing.
So what did all of YOU think of "The Alter Ego"?
Even without Jensen I'm looking forward to more of the anime.

I am BEYOND excited about this! I've been a fan of Sebastian's since I first saw him as Longinus in the TV series Roar, back in 1997 with a very young Heath Ledger. I can't believe I'm finally going to get the chance to meet him and get my photo with him! Oooh, I hope Creation will do a private meet and greet with him. I'd be all over that in a heartbeat!

charityflint and my other totally awesome friend rivercritter all just made reservations at the infamous 2400 Motel (seen in episodes such as Something Wicked and every other TV show filmed in Vancouver) to stay for a few nights before the convention starts. Charity and I stopped by there in 2009:
It's totally a no-frills kinda place, but we've seen it in so many TV shows that we had to stay there at least once. Who knows, maybe SPN will be filming while we're there! LOL!
