Hey guys!

For those of you like myself who couldn't be at the Supernatural ComicCon panel yesterday, here's a link to the Season Four gag reel on YouTube:

Can't wait to see it for real when the DVDs come out!

Hey, does anyone know if there's anything on YouTube of the clip that was shown of season five? Thanks!

Hey all!

If you want to see some excellently filmed vids of the what appears to be the complete Supernatural panel at ComicCon (minus the gag reel and season five sneak peek), check out Gonturan74 over at YouTube:

Monday already? Ugh. I had a good weekend and really, really didn't want to come into work this morning. :-)

Friday the hubby and I had date night and went to go see the new Harry Potter movie. I'm sorry to say that I was disappointed in it, and I wasn't expecting to be, since all I'd read were good reviews. It just felt...disjointed to me. Too many separate stories going on that got shoved together - hormones running rampant, quidditch, a potions book, Draco off doing his thing, Harry off with Dumbledore, more hormones, memory flashbacks, etc. I just didn't think it flowed well. And Hagrid and Neville and other great supporting characters barely had anything to do or a word to speak. :-(

Oh wait, let me back up a second. I need to rant about something. During the previews before Harry Potter I nearly fell out of my chair with happiness, only to become totally pissed off as the preview ended.

As a young kid, one of my most favorite books ever was Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs. So much so that I still have my original copy of the book.

Now I don't know anyone who's ever read this book, so imagine my surprise when the preview I saw was for Cloudy! My jaw dropped in happiness, but then I got really irritated as the preview continued, because IT'S NOTHING LIKE THE BOOK!

The book is an adorable story about a grandfather who tells a bedtime story to his grandchildren about the town of Chewandswallow, where it doesn't rain water, but orange juice or hamburgers or spaghetti. There are no grocery stores because the food falls from the sky three times a day. But then the weather goes crazy and the food keeps getting bigger and bigger, massive pancakes fall down and cover the school, giant meatballs roll down the street, etc. And the citizens need to evacuate Chewandswallow on rafts made of huge pieces of bread and things. I just...I LOVED this book.

But the movie?? It's about some guy who invents a machine that makes food that somehow gets shot up into the sky. It's a bunch of made up characters that aren't in the book, INCLUDING A MONKEY. What. The. Hell.

What I don't understand is, if you loved the book so much that you wanted to make a movie out of it WHY DO YOU CHANGE THE WHOLE THING??

I know I shouldn't be so ticked off about this, but this book was a part of my childhood and it's now been completely destroyed by this stupid movie. I hope it flops. Big time.

Ok, rant over. :-) The rest of my weekend was pretty much a shopping spree, which like, never, ever happens.

Check out my KICK ASS new gym shoes:

Are those not the coolest shoes, ever?? I only wear high top gym shoes and when I saw these in the window at Journey's in the mall I had to have them! They cost a small fortune, but SO totally worth it. :-)

Went to the music store and bought the new CDs by Rob Thomas (Cradlesong) and Daughtry (Leave this Town - which has a song called Supernatural - heh) and both are fantastic. I recommend both of them.

The shopping spree continued with a new desk chair for my home office, replacing the one I'd had for over 10 years. Then it was over to Menards where the hubby and I bought a new faucet and sprayer for the kitchen sink and a new chandelier and light for our entryway, replacing the ones that came with the house that appeared to be from 1969. :-)

Ended the weekend watching the horrible movie, Push, with Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning. I thought it looked really good, but never got to see it in the theater, so I borrowed the DVD from my buddy Andrew. The best part was seeing little Sammy Winchester himself, Colin Ford, at the very beginning of the movie. :-) It quickly went downhill from there. Ugh.

~~~~~
Oops! Nearly forgot - I watched that new BBC America show, Being Human and it's fantastic!! A ghost, werewolf and vampire are all roommates. :-) It's alternately funny and serious and OMG, there is SO much slash potential between George the werewolf and Mitchell the vampire. :-) Give it a shot if you haven't seen it.
So yeah, there's my long and rambling weekend. :-) How was YOURS? Were any of you lucky enough to actually be at the Supernatural panel at Comic Con?
Little did I know that when I posted this picture taken by my friend [livejournal.com profile] charityflint that it would spawn an entire community. :-)
But it has! [livejournal.com profile] agent_jl36 was so inspired by the picture that she has created...
This could actually be a lot of fun, so head on over, read the intro post, then post your own "Parking 4 Dean" picture! LOL!
