I am not a human pin-cushion!
Mar. 20th, 2007 10:32 amToday is our wellness screening at work, which we do twice a year. You get your blood pressure taken and then your blood drawn and it goes through a really comprehensive screening and the results are mailed to you. And it's all paid for by my company.
For the first few years I worked here, a nice guy by the name of Ceasar drew our blood. He was fantastic! Then Ceasar left the wellness company and ever since then, these women treat me (and others) like a human pin-cushion. They can NEVER find my vein. It's gotten so that I absolutely dread doing this.
There were two different women there this morning and I went through the speil about using the smallest needle on me, use my left arm, they can never find the vein on the first or even second try, etc.
Well surprise, surprise, Autumn nailed it on the first try! It hasn't been this painless in years and I complemented her and thanked her for not putting me through undue trauma. :-)
A few of my co-workers, who had also had problems in the past, called me and told me that Autumn got their vein on the first try as well.
I certainly hope I see Autumn again in six months!
