I wanted to take a second and point you guys in the direction of a great Jensen/Jared RPS story - Wash it Away - by [livejournal.com profile] tempestquill.

This was the fic I won in the Sweet Charity auction and it's fantastic! She did an awesome job getting in the prompts I gave her (OMG sex in the water!) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. :-) Definitely money well spent for a great cause!

So if you've got some time today, go check out my prize. :-)

P.S. - totally unrelated, but thanks to [livejournal.com profile] raloria, [livejournal.com profile] sen1995 and [livejournal.com profile] cindyls for each sending me the screencap in my new icon here. *g*

I totally LOVED "Wash it Away". I read it when it was first posted. I stalk tempestquill. Still trying to convince her to mass produce herself in pocketform.

Wasn't it just wonderful? I'm so happy with it! I loved her Rock Star 'verse and when I saw her in the Sweet Charity auction I knew exactly who I wanted to bid on. :-)

Barb, you know I still inherently have a problem with RPS. However, in the SPN universe, I can see it more than I can see Wincest, which I really have a hard time seeing. I read this story and it was good, I have to admit (but I've always had a soft spot for sex in the water!). So you might be converting me, but I'm not sure I'm happy with myself!

Speaking of J/J RPS, I think I mentioned earlier my secret obsession/guilty pleasure, The Jared Padalecki Untitled Project. Have you been reading it? Finally, after a couple of months, the author posted the final chapter. I really, really enjoyed this story. It broke my heart at times, but it was wonderful. I highly recommend it. It's by esohpe and you can find all of the chapters here:

http://esohpe.livejournal.com/tag/jared+padalecki+untitled+project

Lastly, two great new vids were posted to supernatural vids. The first is one that I'm sure you will love, Barb. It's one of those where the vidder pulls vids of the boys from SPN, various interviews, appearances, the gag reel, the day in the life thing, the paley festival, etc., etc. and makes something wonderful and fun. It's called "Just Can't Get Enough, it's by Jessica, and you can download it at sendspace:

The other new vid is by hay1ock and she explains that it was made in response to a challenge to create a vid using a song sung by a character in a movie or musical and, after looking at a number of fluffy Disney songs, she settled on something angsty. She says:

Do you believe in destiny? Do we make our own choices, or are we all playing a role in something larger?

That's probably how Dean and Sam feel sometimes and i liked the idea of putting them in the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. This song is Heaven on Their Minds sung by Judas!Dean, urging Jesus!Sam to think about how, with all the visions and the Demon, things are getting beyond them.

I liked the idea of Judas!Dean because in the Bible, whether considered hard fact or great stories, he was predestined to seal Jesus's death, a role perhaps Dean is destined to undertake in killing his brother for the sake of others.

I think it's pretty amazing (but I've been a sucker for Jesus Christ Superstar for a long, long time and this song has always been a favorite). You can find download links at her LJ (I love the title of her post - A Vid of Biblical Proportions):

or watch it at youtube:

Thanks, Barb, for once again allowing me to usurp space on your LJ! And you are more than welcome for the screencap. I so love your new icon . . .

You know I'm going to corrupt you, right, Deborah? :-)

The Jared Padalecki Untitled Project. Have you been reading it?

Yes, I have! And like you, I really, really enjoyed it. It was painful at times (I hate seeing the boys at odds with one another), but also touching. Very well written and I was quite sad to see it end.

Oh, I loved this! I didn't care for the song at all, but just putting all those clips together like she did was wonderful, and including some with the voice over as well (my favorite is the Paley bit where Jensen says Jared is smokin' hot. Hee!)

This song is Heaven on Their Minds sung by Judas!Dean, urging Jesus!Sam to think about how, with all the visions and the Demon, things are getting beyond them.

Now I'm not a religious person, but this vid was very, very powerful. The clips she chose were amazing, fitting exactly with the lyrics of the song. It nearly gave me chills!

he was predestined to seal Jesus's death, a role perhaps Dean is destined to undertake in killing his brother for the sake of others.

Nuh-uh, no way! I just can't picture Dean ever being able to kill Sam, no matter how bad it gets. Doing that would kill him, you know? He'd never be able to recover from something like that. Nope, sorry, I think Dean's destiny will be to SAVE his brother, not kill him.

Thanks, Barb, for once again allowing me to usurp space on your LJ!

LOL! You can usurp space here anytime you want, my friend! :-)

And you are more than welcome for the screencap. I so love your new icon . . .

Oh, thanks! I watched Nightmare the other night and just had to use that screencap for an icon.
