SPN blurbs in TV Guide

It seems like forever since Supernatural made the Hot List in TV Guide, since they're always too focused on Grey's or CSI or even Smallville, so I was pleasantly surprised to see our favorite show made the cut for next week:
Hollywood Babylon
The guys add gut-busting to their ghostbusting when they visit a haunted movie set armed with so many in-jokes, it's scary.
And then later on, in the Thursday section, there we are again!
The bad boys of demon hunting poke fun at Hollywood urban legends in this hour about a haunted film set. In addition to busting moviemaking myths, the show takes jabs at a certain mom-daughter drama on the CW and a director who just happens to be the show's executive producer.
Oooh man, they make fun of Gilmore Girls?? Jared's former show?? LOL! That's gonna be great! And as far as I know, McG himself has a cameo, so that should be fun, too. :-)
I'm just really surprised they're doing another funny one, so close to Tall Tales, and so close to the end of the season.

But gosh, we here in Chicago won't get to see it AGAIN! Hope your baseball is freakin' worth it, WGN!

Date: 2007-04-11 02:12 am (UTC)It seems to me that it's kind of pattern for SPN to follow up a darker, more emotional story with a funnier, lighter one. I mean, last year 'Hell House' came right after 'Shadow.' This year, 'Tall Tales' came right after BUaBS, and technically, 'Heart' was supposed to air THIS week, which would have meant that 'Hollywood Babylon' would have directly followed it. I don't know if that's something they are doing on purpose or what.
I've heard that they were going to make fun of Gilmore Girls earlier - I think I read something in an interview that it's Jared himself who makes the comment, so I guess that little cameo that I've been hearing people who watch that show clamour over before the series finale probably won't be happening, lol.

Ah, no way! LOL! Oh, this is going to be priceless, I can tell already. :-)

Date: 2007-04-11 12:35 pm (UTC)Though thankfully it looks like all of the May episodes steer clear of any sports event, because if they didn't I swear I'm marching down to WGN's offices and raising holy hell!
