CW Upfronts date?

I could swear I read somewhere on LJ that the CW Upfronts date was May 17th. I thought I read it on supernatural_tv, but for the life of me I can't find the post.

Did anyone else read this? I was wondering where the original information came from, what the source was. Just wanted to make sure that was the right date - where we all sit and chew on our fingernails until they announce that Supernatural is coming back for a third season. :-)

so it looks like May 17 is the correct date.

Is it too much to ask that we might find out for sure sooner? And will this date fall before or after the season finale? Need to figure that out.

Season finale is on the same day as the upfronts but I hope we'll find out sooner.

In the event this doesn't work, what it basically says is that the CW Upfronts will be held on May 17, 2007 in New York at the Madison Square Garden Theatre.

Hey, thanks for that corrected link, Deborah! And yeah, May 17th is supposed to be the season finale. And it WILL be a season finale, not a series finale, right, everyone??

I remember seeing 5/17 too somewhere but I'm not sure where.

Though, remember last year? they had the cw11 interview scheduled for the morning before the upfronts for like, a nice solid WEEK before the upfronts happened which pretty much eased everyones minds. hopefully the same will happen this year.

I think it was on my lj. I posted the date a few days ago. *blushes*
I got the info from a post on "TV Makes You Stupid" about Veronica Mars - and the mess that Kristin Veich (who else?) made by announcing that VM was cancelled - and by the way, this isn't confirmed either.
But the date is May 17.

"Smallville" Hits Season High in Women 18-34

"Supernatural" Scores Largest Audience Since October

March 16, 2007 (Burbank, California) - Against NCAA Basketball coverage, "Smallville" and "Supernatural" combined for The CW's best Thursday of the season among women 18-34 (2.1/6-tie) and its second best Thursday in women 18-49 (1.8/4-tie), according to preliminary live plus same day Nielsen ratings for Thursday, March 15.

"Smallville," which featured the wedding of Lana Lang (Kristin Kreuk) and Lex Luthor (Michael Rosenbaum), hit a new high for the season in women 18-34 (2.5/7).

"Supernatural," with guest star Tricia Helfer ("Battlestar Galactica"), scored its largest audience (3.5mil) since Oct. 26, 2006.


Now, I'm not really sure what "take it to the rack" means, but I think anything like this bodes well for Supernatural and its chance for renewal, especially this late in the season!

"Take it to the rack"? Oookay, is that some sort of hip slang term that I'm not familar with? LOL! Whatever it means, it's something good obviously and that's all that matters!

OMG! He looked fantastic! Suit or t-shirt, doesn't matter, the boy just looks fantastic all the time! And wow, this person was so freaking close! I think I'd have just dropped dead if he was within touching distance of me. ;-)
