Christmas and Hanukkah gifts wrapped, the menorah has been lit and the new dreidel is out. :-) Plus I made this totally awesome and HUGE winter floral arrangement at arts and crafts night at the library the other night. Love how it turned out!

Date: 2017-12-16 07:35 am (UTC)It all looks lovely - says she who doesn't decorate, opens presents as they arrive and might or might not dig out the fibre-optic tree she was persuaded - aka nagged into - buying a few years ago. (In our family, if we were out going round the shops a couple of months before Christmas or birthdays and saw something we'd like but couldn't justify buying, someone would say "Want it for Christmas/birthday?" and we got it then. So neither day was in any way special... and in my father's family, birthdays were totally ignored - nobody even said "Happy birthday".
New Year was our solstice 'get together' time.
